Hubby and I are headed to Aulani in 2 weeks and I would appreciate any advice if you have stayed in a
1 Bedroom Ocean View Villa that you loved so I can put in a Room Request (a little late). I have viewed the pictures on the Villas and Views thread but I am unclear as to whether or not Four Seasons construction is in full swing or even an issue at all. Is that something you would see from the Ewa tower? Any advice would be great.

I've been to Aulani 3 times now, and 2 of those DH and I stayed in a 1 Bdrm OV villa. I'm all about the view! :sunny: The other time I was in an Ocean view Studio.

I've stayed in both the Waianae and Ewa towers and had outstanding views from both. When you are standing in the lobby looking makai, toward the ocean, the Ewa tower will be on your left and the Waianae tower on your right. Some people really love asking for the ground floor if they are big pool people and/or have small kids that would make in convenient to just walk out their sliding doors to their lanais and right out to the Waikalohe Valley pools and slides. Others enjoy requesting closer to the lobby where they can sit on their lanai and listen to the truly outstanding live Hawaiian music performed in Olelo Lounge each evening. Then some prefer to be up as high as possible to be away from all the previously mentioned. It depends on what YOU prefer.

I need it to be very quiet to sleep so I request as far from the elevators and lobby as possible and a higher floor. The hallways are quite long so some would NOT like that. Think about what sounds attractive to you and request accordingly. Personally, I think it would be very tough to be assigned a room you would not enjoy. Aulani is fabulous! Can't wait to go back in a year!! :yay:

Oh, forgot to mention that I think there are rooms possibly considered ocean view that overlook the Halawai Lawn where the Starlit Hui is performed a couple of times a week. They also show movies most nights that Starlit Hui isn't performed. Do NOT miss seeing the Starlit Hui. It is superb. Not a luau as there is no food, but the dancing, history and music is wonderful.

Happy planning!!

I ask for a room overlooking Waikoloa Valley (the pool). That should help avoid the rooms looking towards the 4 seasons.
