Thanks for posting! Just booked a 1BR IV for Easter week & can't wait.

You'll be there at the end of whale season. Make sure to bring your binoculars to catch some whale spouts!

Thanks! I have an Island Gardens view studio booked for January, so now I know what to expect.

Great pics! The floating Mickey head is free, as of right now. The beach was empty during our stay, I think everyone was at the pool LOL!

Thanks for sharing. We're planning on a 1 bedroom island view (if we can get it) next year.

Thanks for the pics. I have a ocean view studio booked for Feb. Can't wait!

thanks so much for posting the pics. we are hoping to be there in September of next year. looks like a good time.

Thanks for the posting the pictures. Hoping to go next June, not sure which view but this is great information to have.

I have a question about the island view picture. It shows a couple building and an open air parkinglot across the street. Is this where the Upscale ABC country market store, just tacos, etc...iis located? If it is, it appears very close and convenient. Thanks.

stlrod, we just got back this morning with a very similar view from room 1255. The buildings in the picture are some sort of country club and golf course. The stores are about a block down the road to the left of the picture. We walked there from the room in about 7 minutes top. The food was very reasonably priced there as compared to the resort. To the right of where this picture shows you can see Diamond Head in the distance, too.

The resort is beautiful and the cast members the nicest we've ever encountered at any Disney resort (and we've had some good cast members in the past). The best deal was the $99 for length of stay use of paddle boards, snorkeling, sea kayaks, beach umbrella and double loungers at the beach. You will have a great time and don't miss the Starlight Hui.

AlwaysGoofy - is the $99 LOS for boards, etc. per room or per person?

TEK224, The cost is $99 per person. They punch your key and then your new wristband every day so they know whether or not you bought the pass when you go to check out the equipment. Considering the cost to do these things individually, we felt this was money very well spent since we were there six days. It worked out to be about $17 a day per person.

We did see a few families try to buy one pass. They would get the paddle board out and then try to pass it off to someone else in their family. The employees caught on to that very quickly and did not allow it -- part of that is the fact that you have to sign a liability waiver every day for every individual using the items.
