August Use Year??

If I normally vacation in November/December, would August be a good use year to have??

I've read some posts about trying to coincide your use year to be right before you usually go on vacation.

This is so if you have to cancel within the 31 day window, you have a whole year to use those points??? Is that correct???

We usually come down around Thanksgiving because my DDs have a week off from school. My guide talked me into a June use year (they do not offer May) because I could still bank my points if we could not make it that year. I would still need to bank them by the end of May because of the 6 month window, but having it in June instead of April bought us another month to make our decision.

You are correct. August or September or October are good use years for a late fall vacation. You also have a more of your banking window in front of you.

My use year is August and I always vacation at Thanksgiving. You still have until the end of January to bank 100% of your points.
