My 18 yo DD and her 21 yo friend, Kristen, are currently planning a trip for themselves and 6 other friends. Between the two of them, they have put together a newsletter to let those going know about different things, from the resort to DTD etc.
They also set up a payment schedule for everyone to pay for their part of the resort and the International Dinner/Illuminations Cruise they have planned.
My DH & I helped them out a bit. They were originally going to book a villa and it would have been over $300 a piece for the six nights not including the dinner/cruise. But we were able to get them two rooms at SoG. So at this point, the rooms, dinner/cruise, PI, gas & travel expenses is less than $300 each. This does not include tickets. Each person will be responsible for their own tickets. But DD & Kristen both have seasonal passes, so they are good to go.
I was pleased to see DD get so involved in this and really work things out. She has always been older than her age, but they are both really working on this trip and finding ways to make it easier for everyone.
I am really proud on both these girls and know that the way they are going, this trip should be great for all involved.
