We will be in WDW Aug 8 - 17. OK, OK, I know it will be HOT and there will be CROWDS. But will we be able to accomplish our mission of a relaxed vacation? We will use the early mornings (a couple of times) and if they still have them the extended evening hours (most of the time). We plan on hitting the parks, going back to our camper at Fort Wilderness after lunch-hit the pool and AC, then return to the parks later in the day/night.

We will have 2 teen boys with us, believe it or not they tend to be easy to deal with. We will let them tour on their own when they want. I have a feeling they will stick close by if our touring plan and fastpass timing work out.

If you have any tips please post — best times to hit which rides, which ride we will really need a fast pass for, and which not to waste a fast pass on.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Drink Plenty of water and powerade.

Wear light colors clothes and hat and sunscreen.

Use fastpass alot and the most important have fun.

Where are you staying? that will help people give advice on how to have a fun AND relaxing vacation.

My Top relaxation tips for WDW are:

MK:
-TTC
-Sitting at a table near Cosmic Rays/ Teacups & having a
snack
-Walking through the shops on Main Street USA
-Fastpass rides you want as soon as you are able to obtain
another fastpass. Do not wait until you have ridden a ride
or until you are near the ride you want to fastpass. Send
one of the boys on Fastpass runs while the rest of you are
in line. He can then meet up with you.

EPCOT:
-Ellen's universe of energy
-Spaceship Earth
-Watch the fountains
-Fastpass rides you want as soon as you are able to obtain
another fastpass. Do not wait until you have ridden a ride
or until you are near the ride you want to fastpass. Send
one of the boys on Fastpass runs while the rest of you are
in line. He can then meet up with you.
- MY ALLTIME FAVORITE THING TO DO AT WDW: Pick up a cup
or 3 of your favorite beverages (adult or otherwise...I prefer
Rignes, my wife loves the fiesta margaritas). We sit on a
bench near the water in Norway. We get a couple of open-
faced sandwiches from the bakery there, & a couple of
deserts. We can spend a couple of hours there just people
watching, talking sitting with our arms around each other,
talking to our kids, etc. This is great with our without the
kids. We get them treats as well. SOOOOOOOO RELAXING!

MGM & Animal Kingdom:
-We don't spend as much time there, but fastpass runners
are very important to make the most of your time.

When you are tired, rest. When you are thirsty, drink. When you are hot, cool down. You won't be able to do everything, so don't even try. Do what makes you happy. That is why you are there!:wave2:

Gee, even writing this post makes me feel melancholy. I am remembering how much fun we have, & lamenting the fact that we still have over 80 days until we can do it again! We'll be there at the same time. If you see 2 people with 3 little girls in matching dresses at EPCOT, stop over & say hi!

Thanks for the info -- we will be at Fort Wilderness so that in itself is relaxing.

We will be looking for you!::yes::

HAVE A GREAT TIME!

Lisa
