We are going to Orlando for 8 days in late August. We are doing MNSSHP. For our main tickets, We were all set to order the 4-day, 1 visit to each park, BUT now I’m wondering if getting longer tickets would be worth the extra $$ so we can do shorter park days (rope drop-pool break-back to park) without feeling like we’re missing out? We likely would take resort breaks some/most days…

We’ll be at WL the first 2 nights - current plan is pool/visit FW on arrival day, then MK, then EP on checkout day (EEH).

After that we’re moving to Wyndham Bonnet Creek and we’re planning our AK/DHS and MNSSHP days while we’re there as well as pool/resort time, DS, etc.. (DH will also be taking DD9 to Universal one day, as she is a huge HP fan - the rest of us will likely either do an extra Disney day or Typhoon lagoon).

Kiddos are 5, 9, and 12. We live in CA so they’ve spent lots of time at DL, but haven’t been to FL since 2019 (the younger 2 don’t remember it).

Thoughts? For those of you doing the 4-day tickets in summer months how’s it going? (Hours seem shorter then I’m used to for summer which is also making me overanalyze things!)

A longer trip is always better than a shorter trip--so long as you can afford it. I'm budget-conscious and the 4 park/4 day ticket they're doing right now is a fantastic deal. But I also know that once you go up to 6, 7, 8, days, those final few days get really cheap (apart from lodging, of course....that stays the same price)

The think about Florida in August is there's probably going to be a rainstorm every single day, at least for an hour. And so having more days to go also comes in handy if one of your afternoons gets completely washed out.
