If you had the option to do a carribean cruise in Aug or September which month would you choose? In addition, would you do early, middle, or near end of the month. I know those two months are affected with hurricane season. I've seen it at times where August is the same prices in September if it was a halloween cruise too. My family wants to go on the Treasure. Do you feel like a theme cruise will take away from new details on the ship? My family hasn't cruised a halloween theme either. Ideally I want eastern but the dates don't keep matching up and it's western that is open to availability for the room category my family wants.

For me, cruises in the middle of September are the best. You can get a Halloween cruise if you want to, the fares are lower, the temperatures aren't as hot as in the summer, and the water at Castaway Cay is still very warm. There's always a risk of hurricanes, but it's not a high risk.

My last DCL was 2023 end of September and I loved it. Perfect weather and I loved HOTHS but I love anything Halloween so that's me ..

Agree with the above thoughts. September would be my choice. And don't worry about Halloween taking away from the details of the new ship. It really doesn't interfere.

I also don't worry about weather then. If a storm comes up, the ship gets out of the way. Yes, you might hit different ports than originally planned, but you'll be safe.

For me it depends on a few things- where you are traveling from and how early you are arriving. Hurricanes not even hitting Florida can disrupt flights. Especially if flying United and Houston is impacted. Fly in at LEAST a day early and during hurricane or snow storm season I prefer two days.

How much do you care about the ports? If they are an added perk, September is great but if you would be heartbroken to miss Castaway or any of them I would go in August.

Due to most parents not wanting kids to miss school so early in the school year, the Sept sailings (especially early Sept) are adult heavy- Anticipate the adult spaces (pools, lounges, adult only events) to be more crowded than in August when you have more parents with kids traveling who are not always able to tear themselves away from their littles to enjoy the adult spaces.

Does anyone really enjoy Halloween or dressing up? Then do the Halloween sailings. They have a few nice added activities (special character meets, deck party, trick or treating, Pumpkin tree ceremony) but it is not overwhelming.

We went with an Eastern in August, worst case scenario it ends up being a western. The PEAK activity is statistically in September, but I've also cruised in October on another line not knowing if we were going to where we planned to go until the day we boarded.

That's what I was worried about when I read peak is in September.

We would be traveling from Midwest so flights might not be that impacted. The Western itinerary doesn't appeal to us but that's what I have at the moment so we could explore the trip as a backup. But we definitely want better weather. We were on the maiden voyage of wish and that was definitely way to hot so were hoping for better weather.
