august or september

I usually go to disney during the offpeak season, but this year we are planning a trip in either august or september. Which would be the better time to go?

Personally, I would think September when most of the kids around the country (and definitely in Florida) have gone back to school. The crowds would probably be a little lighter.

I am all for light crowds.....

September will probably be a little cooler than August, though it is still pretty hot.

went in sept 2003 it was great walked on all rides no waiting in line weather was great but if you concider weather in sept last year well you never know but we are going sept this year it just the chance you take

thnaks for the tip we are considering waitint till november but man, that's a long wait. we usually go twicw a year. dvc member, ya know. thanx.

We went at the end of Sept last year and it was wonderful! Weather was still hot, but not horribly hot (to us anyway), and the crowds were very light. This year we're going in November, and I know what you mean about the wait....it's taking forever.

I went last year at the end of August. Yes, it was hot. Yes, it rained. But it was still wonderful. We would go back to our rooms during the hottest part of the day or to an indoor event. Many times we went out in the rain. It didn't usually last long.

I am going back at the end of this August also. With my work schedule that is the best time for me.

SEPT! No lines, hot weather, but bearable. Just pray for no hurricanes!

I've gone the past 2 Septembers. It is still very hot, but the crowds are not heavy. My vote is for Sept - with young kids, the less crowds, the better.
