August hours changed?

I went and printed all the Aug hours when they came out and now that I recheck them they are different - even the EMH we are not using the EMH hours but the parks hours themselves are the different the first two weeks of Aug the MK says 9:00 to 10:00 when I printed them now its 9:00 to 11:00 is the MK really open that late without EMH?

I just checked yesterday when I got a tip from someone on this board that the hours changed. I can believe that MK is staying open that late without EMH. I rememeber back when MK would be open til 1 a.m. as normal operating hours. I even saw that they changed the EPCOT EMH days. Maybe they saw larger crowds than they were expecting

That is probably true but I sure hope not...I can deal with busy but not so busy we have to extend our hours busy! lol!

On the Cast Member Portal System, they are giving the same calender as the official disney site. Especially in the summer, they tend to extend the hours with very short notice

I know!! I went and printed them and made my itinerary and now the change it! I was going to Epcot on Aug 1 for the EMH morning and to MK for the EMH evening, but no more EMH for Epcot in the morning this day Do i guess we have make changes.

Interesting... on the 8th both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot have the Evening EMH.

Wouldn't the removal of EMH actually signal that they are expecting fewer people? With fewer people, they wouldn't need to stay open as late as they do for an EMH. They also would be able to cut down on costs, etc.

Either way, my DD7.5 won't be able to stay up late enough for use of the night EMH, so it really is not that big a deal for us (8/15-8/20).

Where do you find the hours that have changed? I checked the Disney World website and the times are the same as the ones I printed out weeks ago for the week of Aug. 21-26.

I got the new hours from TourGuideMike. Actually, they added more hours. More EMH for Epcot, both AM and PM. He states it's due to the popularity of Soarin'. on 8/1 and 8/8 both MK and Epcot have evening EMH. MK open until 2am and Epcot until midnight.

We JUST got off the phone with dining... who called guest services and confirmed that EMH (mornings) for Epcot are going to run on both July 31 (Sunday) and August 1 (Monday).

We questioned her 3-4 times to confirm this, and she was certain that this was correct, citing a memo that was posted yesterday. She said that a) the website is wrong and b) they often make changes at the last minute. But she assured us that the Monday morning EMH would remain.. but just that Sundays were being added on the 7/31 and 8/7.

Anyone else able to verify this? Like others, a change like this for early risers like us makes us have to redo a bunch of our plans and PS.

Things can sometimes change right up to the last minute. We've seen this quite a bit lately.

I check the WDW website and it's just the regular hours that I see a difference its only an hour here and there but it is different- we are staying off site so I really hope they get it together so I can print out a new one before we leave - it's the first two weeks I am looking at ! I really want to have some kind of plan

Oh Boy!!!! We scheduled alot of our ADR`s around the evening EMH times (especially @ MK )
Tomorrow I`ll have to call, and see if I can change some of the dates & times with Disney Dining !!!
I hope that this is the last change for the August EMH`s!!!!

OH OK!! Really?? Good, because we had our days planned and Aug 1 we had EMH morning!

So the Epcot 8-1 EMH morning and Evening until 12AM?
And MK EMH evening untill 2AM?

That's what they told us, Pixiedust. You might want to call yourself and see if you can verify. The more times we hear it, the more times we'll believe it!

And we'll see you at Epcot early morning on the 1st!
