August, Heathrow~Miami £392, Update post #12

Thanks Wayne, is there any way to get good flights to Orlando (ultimate destination), I'm not sure whether to take this and use airmiles for internal flight or consider the drive, which I am not keen on

In two minds, book or take a risk and wait for something to MCO

I spent about 2 hours on their site last night trying to find the best way from MAN to MCO, For £398 I could get the route I want but 2 changes of planes each way. Something I would do if I had to but so far away I am waiting for a better deal.
If I lived nearer London I would also consider the direct flights, I just don't fancy 4 hours drive to London plus 4 hours upto Orlando. one or the other I would do it.
I could do miles and money Virgin for £666 but never paid so much for a flight, I am also hoping a biz class deal comes up. Although a great deal I am waiting(probably regret it)

Thanks Wayne, I too have been a little spoilt over the last few years with prices (Delta etc)

I will wait and may also regret it

We've taken the plunge and booked LHR - MIA for the three of us rather than MAN - MCO. Cost was just over $2000 for the three of us, averages out at £420 each on direct flights. Even allowing for an overnight stay at Heathrow and parking, it is still saving us around £700 on current best fares.

On the UK site, we were offered direct outbound and via Paris on the return journey for around the same price, but the same direct flights on the UK web site were around £100pp dearer,

Now anyone who is wanting to travel from Manchester only needs to sit back and await the avalanche of offers between Manchester and Florida now we have booked!!

we too have taken the plunge and booked, direct for £500 each (actually it was £501, but who is counting:rotfl2:)
couldnt consider taken the undirect route, as josh wouldnt cope, but as wayne always says, find a flight price your happy with, and book it!
I too await the avalanche of cheaper flights now i have got mine, lol!!

We've just booked as well - very happy with the price as it works out at under £500 per person, about £150 less than we paid for this year's flights.

Feeling happy now, as we only have to sort out 5 nights accommodation after our HRH stay, plus car hire.

Just received our confirmation/e-ticket and must have been a generous exchange rate from AA as the price ended up at £404 each for the direct LHR - MIA flight in both directions - almost another £50 in our pockets :goodvibes
