August fashions.

We ALL got hats!! I just had surgery for Basal Cell cancer so the sun has been on my mind alot these days…

We experienced the dangers of Sun Heat in Colorado a few years back. It was only in the 80’s but the sun was brutal….

It was a matter of water water water, sunblock, hats and shade whenever possible.

Wifey spends most of her days out in the Carolina sun as a horse trainer, and I cannot see how she manages some days when its 93 and 88 humidity. Not to mention dressed in riding pants, boots , helmet and sports bra….

Wonderful dress! As others have said, bike shorts underneath for comfort and so she doesn't have a Marilyn Monroe moment. I'm planning on Disney dresses for some days in June, and also skirts with bike shorts since it will be hot. I see many women in dresses and they seem easily able to get into rides, etc. Once your wife has the dress she can accessorize as she likes, too.

Then she'll be just fine! That kind of heat/humidity combo would make a noodle out of me, LOL. If she can be outside all day in that, she probably won't even blink at DLR in August.

The dress is adorable! My teen DD wears stuff like that in the parks about every day. She wears booty shorts (dance shorts) underneath- not for chaffing, but for wind, sitting on the floor or ground, getting on and off rides, and just in general not worrying if her dress flies up. She does that at home (where we have a lot of wind) when she wears dresses too. She is a theatre kid and they always do that on stage- so it is just something she has always done. That would be a lot more comfortable than bike shorts to the knee. Just be sure you have good sunscreen-- DD uses the neutrogena kind and she has never gotten sunburned at DL/CA.

We were there last October and multiples times in July and she didn't need any type of sweater or sweatshirt at night any of those visits. In June, especially early June it can get really cool in the evenings... which is a good excuse to buy a sweatshirt--- at least that has been my excuse.

I would totally rock that dress, and I have several similar ones I wear regularly to the parks. I just always wear bike shorts underneath. Doesn't matter how fit you are, legs will rub and you never know how much you show getting on/off of rides. I'm sure she's smart enough to wear sunscreen regardless of the clothes she wears. For me, dresses are way more comfy than shorts & t-shirts

I wore a very similar style dress ( cherries, not polka dots ) for a dapper day event. It was VERY hot and the dress was still comfortable. I'm a 'top heavy' gal and the dress is plenty supportive with a halter bra. The style of the dress has a stretchy elastic back which imo helps provide a bit of extra comfort and support. I never had any issues with jarring rides, not sure how the dress is any different to any other style shirt or top when it comes to support. I will say that the dress in the pic looks extra full in the skirt because in the images on amazon it's likely worn with a crinoline underskirt. I did *not* wear that under mine and it was still full but probably not like in the pictures on the website. My go-to shoes are plain black crocs, but they are 'kadee ballet flats' and a bit more attractive than the traditional crocs. I like them because they are light weight and at the end of the day I can just rinse them out to freshen them up. I also find them super handy on wet rides cuz you can dry them off with paper towel. Sadly they seem to be harder and harder to come by. She'll love the dress I'm sure :)

This thread is a bit older so I don’t know if you’ve been to the park yet. I wore comfortable cute shoes to the park with
my dress. I got Romika Mary Janes from Nordstrom rack. They wouldn’t be my daily choice. However I couldn’t use sneakers with a cute dress. My best shoes were Chaco flip flops and Tom’s.

Yay!!! Be sure to post pictures from you trip!! Are you dressing up, too?
I am. I have a classic NBX Silk button down, and a awesome Haunted Mansion wallpaper dress shirt.

The lazy day is a Captain America compression tee…
