I went swimming with my girls today for about 4 hours. I, of course, wasn't "swimming" the whole time, so I'll just put down 45 mins. :)

110/500
ACK! We posted at the same time, I'll go update you ASAP! ;)

I've done another 60 minutes. That now puts me at 325/1000.

Thanks for organising this challenge! :goodvibes

You're no slouch either. Good for you!

if so...............then ohMom gets to rest today :

hop on over to the Community Board to send her a WISH !!! (or could one of our favorite monitors be able to add a link here) to make it just a tad easier - thanks :goodvibes :goodvibes

as for me - I think I will just go for a bike ride later today - like to see those points going upward!

Congrats Figaro!!! That's a totally awesome achievement!

How I got to 555/1000 in one day: We were at a picnic and no food was out because people cluster around food. I swam quite a lot...or just moved around in the water for the second part (I was used as a babysitter second part, so we bounced in the water and I would do lunge-type exercises to get to rafts and Aqua Noodles), jumped around in a bounce house, kayaked quite a lot, played two volleyball games...and it was a definite walk (maybe HIKE would be a better word) to get to the bathrooms and car park as you had to walk around a hill, or over top of it, and walk back. All in all, I never really stopped moving except at dinner, dessert and prize give away (total time spend at the last three things: an hour, tops).

Thanks KimRaye!! What do you guys think of the half way color being teal? (KimRaye-you are like a mommy to all of us! I appreciate it...thank you!  )

OhMom-that was awesome exercise. Let me tell ya-I could never do ninety straight minutes of powerwalk and five minutes after!! That was awesome exercise right there! And you deserve a rest day!!! Enjoy it!

The rain let up and I did finally get to run yesterday, so that added 55 minutes. So my total is now 195/1000.

I am now at 355/1000 as of AUg 7th. Need to get those workouts in early since it is so hot here in the northeast.

Keep Cool everyone :umbrella:

I'm at 260/1100 as of this morning (august 7) so I am on track this month and feels good! :flower:

mom you sly poster you (for those who didn't know AlreadyexcitedGrammy is my mom :))

actually i didn't take a rest day, but a lighter day. tomorrow i have to have DD at the state fair 45 mins away by 7 a.m. so no morning exercise time for me; usually monday evenings I walk with my neighbor but it's casual walking for me. haven't decided if i'm counting it for the challenge yet, what do you think? it would definately be more of a challenge if I don't count it, we walk two nights a week about 35-45 mins

tigercheer - thanks for the kudos coming from the gal that's 1/2 way done already! cyber high five. my sat walk did feel way long starting out, but i kept reminding myself during 1/2 marathon training i did this every saturday and thought nothing of it. usually on sat. I walk with another neighbor and she really keeps me moving -- she loves the long distances. she has trained with me for two 1/2 marathons and didn't even do the events herself! anyhow -- the 5 mins of stretching afterward felt devine!

REMEMBER LADIES AND GENTS - STRETCHING IS EXERCISE, LET'S CALL IT FLEXIBILITY TRAINING!! :goodvibes

off to hit the shower - i rode my bike for 45 mins today bringing me to 405/1500

Hi all

I ran early this morning, then walked with 2 friends this evening, for a total of 80 minutes. I think that puts me at 275/1,000.

If it were me, I'd count some of the minutes. Like last Wed., we went to Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor (there about 10 hours I think), so with the walking and 'swimming', I counted 20 mins., it's better than nothing, and surely not part of my regular routine.

Belated :bday: :cake: to you. I'll post the link, even tho it's late. ;) http://130.94.75.33/showthread.php?p=9478706#post9478706 (I don't think I knew your name was Molli! Well, now I do!) Hope you had a great Birthday! :flower1: :flower2: :jumping1: :Pinkbounc  :goodvibes
