August car hire?

Hiya guys.

Need to get car hire booked for this coming August for 25 nights.

Usually we book through usrentacar and again they are coming out the cheapest.

£645.00 on the gold package for a 7 seater (we are a family of 6).

In your past experiences would you recommend us needing a large vehicle to just get it booked, or do prices tend to lower?

For 7 seater incl gold I work on £25/nt for a good deal. My mission is to get 18 nights for £450(July into Aug), same price as I paid last year, cheapest I can find just now is £507.
USrentacar are quoting me £561 (£31+/nt), I have found them expensive for the past 2+ years, they used to be cheap.

What dates you looking for? your quote works out at £25.80/nt which seems a good price.

Our dates are 4 August to the 29th flying into MCO.

Seemed like a decent price to me too, it's also selecting me a dollar car which I can use my express membership for.

I just checked your dates on USrentacar, it sounded too cheap to me.
£645 is for inclusive only, gold would be £767.

Sorry, I did actually mean inclusive. I thought inclusive was the dearer of the 2.

Inclusive is the cheaper cover, just includes the car and insurances.
Gold includes Car, insurance, additional drivers & a tank of gas.

Doing a quick search I found

Or Gold £764.89 less 7% = £711.35
Saving over USrentacar £58 inclusive, £56 gold.
This would probably be Alamo but possibly Dollar, you don't know til you book.

Auto Europe will also price match or cancel if you see a lower price, USrentacar you have to pay extra to allow cancellations.

Inclusive £620 less 5% Quidco = £589 or Gold(They call platinum) £745 less Quidco = £714
This would be with Thrifty, exactly same cars as Dollar as they are the same company.
Downside to this deal is their cancellation policy
"Amendments & Cancellations

A charge of £50.00GBP will apply for any amendment or cancellation of a confirmed reservation, prior to the start date of the rental. "

Personally I am waiting for a better deal, I think all these are a little high. If I was to book now I would go with a company I could cancel with or apply a lower rate, I think they are too high to tie in at.
