Are the animals out and about during the day or are they kept in the barns most of the day to keep from the heat. We plan to miss the heat of the day of the parks by watching the animals from our room. Thanks. Amy

They're out - at least some animals. The savannahs have small trees and shade areas, as well as watering holes, so you will see animals. They may not be very active, but they'll be there.

They are out 23 hours a day. They are brought in for about an hour each day for a check-up and to be given vitamins.
