August 9, 2011 (8/9/2011) Taking the Wonder to see the AMERICAN CHILD

ok this is too funny.. I work part time at the disney store too.. also volunteer at meals on wheels and SHIP ( medicare) for the senior center and am on the communications committe for BSA

Ok, I'll jsut add to the funnyness, I'm a former TDS CM. I worked there for 8½ years and left just before the sale to CP back in 2004.

I worked Christmas 1994 for TDS and spent 15 years working at Disneyland. Met DH (alanapapa) there.

Yay! So many TDS CM's (both past and present!) are on this cruise! That is so exciting! We're having a Halloween Dress Rehearsal this weekend and I"m working it...I'm very excited for it! :)

He works at the Bergen Towne Center (formerly the Bergen Mall) Disney Outlet.

Here is the latest FE list... red is college aged kids. If you want to be added send me a PM (with cabin number if known) and I will add you

Has anyone started looking at hotels in Vancouver yet? If so, where have you been looking?
Also, if you are planning on taking Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver, just know that to take the actual train vs. a bus you'll need to either take the 7:00 AM train or one around 6:00 in the evening. Looking at the schedule, everything else is busses which is not going to be nearly as scenic.

Caro I have 2 hotels booked, the Park Inn & Suites on Broadway ($170.22 CAD/night) and the Days Inn Vancouver Downtown ($202.11/night). We'll probably keep the Days Inn one since it's close to the port. But I'm going to look into the Fairmont again since I have an AmEx card that might be able to give me a deal.

Thanks for posting the train times. That might help to make up our decision.

We will probably stay at the Renaissance with DH's points. It is supposed to be right at the port and within walking distance.

...and since DarthVader (Starwood's DS) and my DD are inseparable, we’ll be in the same hotel...:lovestruc

Both families are getting into Vancouver Sunday Morning.

If enough of us get in on Sunday, maybe we can do something to all meet up somewhere Sunday evening....

Not sure of our plans yet. I may need to wait until spring when the company bonus is paid.

We are also planning on being in Vancouver as of Sunday evening...staying at the Pan Pacific.

Thanks Caro

Not sure what we are doing.. DH wants to wait until next year to see airfares etc to make decision.. Meanwhile, I am waiting for ABD to see if they have a pre or post cruise event..
