August 7, 2005 WONDER 4-night Bahamian Cruise

Doesn't seem like we will have a crowded ship. Cked Disneys' website and they have cat. 5 thru 11 available. Expedia also.

We are on deck 7 in two cat. 5 rooms. Same rooms we have had on our other 2 cruises. Love the location.

We also have late dinner seating and Palos scheduled for 8 PM on the last night of the cruise. We have not been able to do that in the past. Since kids are older, they can go to the restaurant themsleves without us.

See you all in Aug. Can't wait to cruise again.

Welcome, Nina, to our little "family"!

We are Laura and Marco (DH, AKA DGH ... why? you can easily guess reading previous posts ).

This will be our fourth Disney Cruise (Eastern / Western and twice the "small" cruise on the Wonder).
This August we are booked together with a very good friend of us, Beckie (AKA Magic in my Hearth), who is cruising with DH Terry.

We are on deck 7 as well, in a Navigator's Verandah Stateroom (7624): we usually had "inside" staterooms, which we found cozy and convenient for the two of us. This year, as it is our 30th wedding anniversary, we have booked a category 7 (Navigator's Verandah)

We are very excited and can't wait to come to US.

Thanks for the welcome. My daughter, Isabel is amazing and will be awesome at the clubs. She is so excited about the Oceaneers Club. We have watched the DVD over and over.

We have a cat 11 (poor single parent here) on deck 6 and have the late seating.

Bode, DH and I had a cat . 12 (inside) on deck 2 ... years ago ... and we felt just GREAT about it !!!!!! Plenty of space ,cabinets ect . plus you'll receive the SAME splendid service as everyone else on board .

We found we don't spend much time in our stateroom ...DH ( Marco) loves to read a bit before sleeping and there is a comfy sitting area for that... also you get ALL the amenities as other rooms !
YOU AND ISABEL are going to have a real BLAST !!!!!!!! and love your stateroom !!!!

AND you can always go UP to deck 7 to enjoy some quiet in the "secret" "public" deck to the aft !!!! Great place ... when other public areas are crowded !!!!

I thought that this would be nice after shopping and sightseeing all day, per the NAVIGATOR I have, we would miss "Cabaret Showtime" but I would rather miss this show then any of the others? (This would still give us time to dress for dinner)

Do you think we would be back aboard by 5:30pm?

I'm thinking on booking a relaxing scalp - massage and blow dry AFTER our day in Nassau; I expect to be rather tired and HOT... not willing to "rush" to get "ready and pretty" for the dress up night !

Great, I scheduled our shuttle to the port yesterday for 10:00am, maybe we could meet the night before to start the party early. Oh and don't worry about Isabel I prefer the company of children over that of some (most) adults. Laura can confirm that I usually don't go anywhere without five or six nieces or nephews. But all my guys start school August 8th so their Mothers said NO to the cruise this year.

Bode do you have any activities scheduled? Since Laura and Marco (aka DGH) are the DCL Vetrans, Terry and I as newbies have followed most of their advice. I wanted a cabin with a veranda. Laura said that she and DGH usually booked a less expensive stateroom because there is so much on the ship to see and do that cabin time is spent getting ready for your next activity or sleeping. So I booked a category 10: Deluxe Inside Stateroom during the middle of the night (wishing for a veranda or porthole to watch the beautiful ocean) but keeping in mind everything Laura/DGH had told me about the $$$$. I got Lucky my cabin assignment was a Secret Porthole Room (One of the best-kept secrets on the Disney Wonder are the "secret porthole" rooms. These six rooms on Deck 5 are sold as Category 10 inside staterooms, but they have obstructed view portholes. Thus, you get sunlight and little view for "free.") These rooms use to be Category 9's but were downgraded to Cat 10:

I didn't tell you, Bailey thinks he is going on the cruise with you and Marco. Cindy keeps telling him "You start Big Boy school and can't go." Bailey says, "Oh yes I am." Looks like we will have to find something special for him because he is going to be so MAD.

It all started when he came over oneday and was looking through the DCL book/magazine, Cindy and I were talking about the cruise she said she would love to take a cruise, maybe next summer when the boys are out of school. She took the book home and Bailey has been looking through it everyday...So he is ready to cruise.

Didn't know school starts SO EARLY ovethere !!!! In Italy we are off school from today (June 25th) until September 5th !!!!

The schools here had it's final day back on May 25th they go back August 8th so that 74 days, when I was in school we got out at the end of May and had until the first Tuesday after Labor Day (Labor Day here is the first Monday in September) so we use to get an additional month off.

I would love to bring them down to Universal to visit, and have talked to Cindy but she isn't sure yet about going...(work)...so give me a little longer. I'll try to see what we can do.

I would love to see Italy, it is so beautiful plus the people are GREAT. The only negative about living there would be IT'S SO FAR FROM WDW. OH and so far from my nieces and nephews. I thinks that's all of them...opps one more
