Eve, DH and I were planning to go to Home Depot tomorrow and I was going to look for the paint chips - if you'd like some let me know and I will send you some. I'll just pick up a bunch (w/o trying to look too obvious!)

If you do go to Home Depot, could you please let us know what the paint chips look like - where to find them? And is it available for a cost?
I may not get a chance to go this weekend.

I kept a duffle full of items that I took on our cruise last year...Pepto & bonine (never opened), over the door shoe holder, water safes and have added sunscreen that was on close-out at Walgreens. Just checked the expirations and they are still good to go! I figured this way I wouldn't have to hunt around and gather everything up especially because I booked this cruise before we went on last year's cruise! I should probably stick our passports in there 'cuz I have this fear that I'll forget them!

Have a great weekend everyone! Brynée and 6 friends are having a movie night/sleepover here and they are watching Edward Scissorhands! I have always loved Johnny Depp's acting !!

Jinny - Just head to the paint section and you can't miss them. There will be a whole section of Mickey Head paint chips and look for the "Alien Green" ones as that is the official DIS color. I picked up those as well as some other colors to make door magnets. No cost...it's just like any other paint store that lets you take home color samples for matching etc. They may just think it's strange if you take ALL of the green ones !

Sure am glad so many of you are willing to go to HD since I really don't like that place. I will have DH pick up some Alien Green MM heads the next time he goes. I could be so inclined to add some magnets to the back for our door too, I think I could be that handy.
They could also be used for luggage tags too. Wow...creativity is setting in at this late hour

I have a box full of stuff we used last year when we went to WDW. I've just been adding to that box off and on since: bonine, small purse packs of toilet paper (yes, I'm funny that way 'cause you just never know.....), pins, goodies to give to the kids, etc. We used bubbles last year while waiting for some of the attractions - it not only entertained our kids but all the ones standing next to us too, lol. I got DD and DS some guest of honor badges. We have some of those personal battery-operated fans that light up, rain ponchos. I'll add to my list as I think of it....

Eve where so you find purse packs of tp? Probably a great idea with going to Mexico.
We have used bubbles in line and they are great for entertaining everyone around. If we have been around cranky kids in line DD would just get out her bubbles to entertain them, we've had grateful parents for calming down the kids.

DH went to HD this morning and picked up 3 of the paint chips, DD took 1 already. I'll have him get more next time and then I can figure out what to do with them.

I picked up the teensy toilet paper rolls at Walmart - they were hanging off a rack down one of the aisles rather than being in with the other toilet papers. It's made by Charmin and they are, literally, small rolls, individually wrapped, I believe. I would imagine with real tourist traps that we might be in a situation without tp but the absolute WORST bathrooms I have EVER seen were when DH and I went to China. Not only were they squat toilets with no TP but....well....use your imagination here.

Too graphic for me...that is why I have never wanted to go to Japan. Hawaiian resorts are the closest I'll ever get to visiting the "homeland" and tent cabins near well-equipped restrooms at Yosemite are as primitive as I get ! I may be speaking too soon as we are scheduled for Stone Island!

Hi!!!!! We're home...darn it! I am way too tired to dole out info tonight, but I promise I will in the next few days. We had a blast!
To answer one question: NO JELLYFISH! Guess they are all gone.
No Galley tours.....AND....we were handed anti-bacterial wipes before we were allowed to enter any restaurant, and before we got on the tender back to the ship in Cabo!
Personally, I don't think there's any flu going around. I think it's an extra precaution mostly because of the stories we always hear about "drinking the water" and such in Mexico.
We did do one DCL excursion....Las Caletas in PV....FANTASTIC! A little of something for everyone.
My head is too heavy to hold up any longer....I'm outta here for tonight!
Glad to be back, if only to talk to you guys!

Oh, DH went to Home Depot yesterday and I had him pick up paint chips. He wasn't sure what color (I hadn't told him), so he got 2 Alien green and 2 Sonic boom. DD says it will be embarrassing to wear a name tag, are we putting our first names on them or just wearing them to signify DIS?

Cathy I assure you that my name will NOT be on my MM head unless it is used as a luggage tag for one of my bags. I had enough of wearing my name when I worked at the store and no offense to for that.
DH and I may wear our Belle and Beasts shirts when we board, very easy to spot us in those. He's already asked if we are taking them with us.



Yeah Stacey is back, although I know you would rather live on the ship than come back to reality. But just think being at home today was just like on the ship....internet service only and no land line or cel phones

I think I'm going to put 1 on my lanyard card holder, make some door magnets and maybe a tag for my carry-on. Plus, if we say "happy hanname" every few minutes we'll meet up with DISers and DVCers!

Just got back from watching Star Wars III and kept thinking "may the hanname be with you!"

I saw some pics online of a family who went to pirate night in just black t-shirts with a pirate logo on it (they were all matching). It doesn't look like anyone does the tropical thing. I will never get my DH into a pirate costume but I think he would be ok with a t-shirt so I did some checking around and there's a really cool site called customink.com where you can design t-shirts. I played around with the program and came up with a 100% cotton black t-shirt, lime green skull/crossbones, text on the front and back in lime green (it can literally say whatever you want but all the tshirts must say the same thing, of course). I'm at work right now killing some time and will play with the program a little more when I get home - I can actually design a t-shirt and email the design to anyone interested. A minimum order of 24 pieces (adult and youth sizes) makes the tees about $9 a piece if you put the customink logo on it. And it's FREE DELIVERY. Anyone else interested???
