Okay, more questions from me (what's new?) Vickie, you mentioned renting a tux on the ship. Do you know how much that would run? I'm just trying to figure out if it's more cost effective to rent here or???

Lauren, go to the website www.cruiselineformal.com all of the rental info is there. Black or white is $85 for the week. Black and white combo is $120. Doesn't seem bad to me! You get measured locally and send them the measurements and everything is supposed to be there when you board!

Neither can I! I think it's sinking in, now that I have cruise junk spread from one end of the house to the other! I thought I could "downsize" my packing.....HA! I did a fashion show for the family today, so they could help me decide what to wear. Just doing that was exhausting.
Tomorrow I have one last day at work doing payroll and the end of the month books, and then I have to seriously pack. I'm glad that I had taken all of Jay and Jared's dress clothes to the cleaners after the Christmas cruise...and they haven't worn them. At least those are ready to go.
I won't be doing any "live reports". Everytime I get near the Internet Cafe, it's always way too crowded for me. I'll just take notes and answer questions when I get back.
I haven't read anything that the cruisers are saying who are on the ship right now. I want to be surprised at any changes and the fun stuff!

I like that part of the ship. Our first cruise was in 2132 and we loved it. This time we are in 2078, midship and close to the elevators. I wanted to be further back but nothing was available that I wanted when I booked. I didn't find it any noisier than when we were on deck 8 one cruise.
As long as you aren't under the clubs in the front you are fine on deck 2.

Jinny - San Lorenzo is on the other side of the bay, south east of SF. Right between San Leandro and Hayward. My parents lived in San Bruno when they were first married.

Thanks for the info on the tux rental, Vickie. That sounds like a good 'no hassle' way to go. I didn't really want to shlep all that stuff in the car up and back.

Jinny, my DD Kaitlin will be 9 by the time we sail. So, she will probably see alot of everyone's kids in the Oceaneer Lab! I am counting on her liking it! My vision of this trip (amongst everything else) is to get a margarita, a good book and lay by the adults pool!

LOL I do the fashion show sometimes too when I need to decide what to wear! I am with you on the Internet cafe. All I do at home is work on computers (work and home) so there I like to do other things and look at the water a lot.

I'm one of those odd individuals that could never, ever get tired of just watching the water go by...smelling the sea air, breeze on my face......ahhhhhhh, heaven!

The kids have their stuff packed except formal wear (I'll do that) ....now I just have to put Jay's and my clothes in the bags. Tomorrow is final packing day. Friday is hair and nails day. Okay...yes....now I am getting excited!!

I am trying to remember too. Maybe if you try to post it will prompt you to register. There is a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) which may help you.
It can't be hard because I found it (when I am in doubt I ask DD because she can do anything with computers). She goes on other forums for TV shows and teen stuff and I guess they are comparable.

Jinny: When your friend goes on to disboards.com for the first time there should be a button to register. I have entered my screen name and password on all of my work computers so that I can check on things during breaks. Registering will be accessed in that same sign in area.
