Stacey, thanks for pointing out my short term clapping disability. It is rather hard. It's a fun time at the studios, and they have a nice store with lots of products for sale.

I have HP's portable printer, and bought one for my mom, too. They are the coolest thing since sliced bread!

One of these days I'll learn how to use all the options that are on my amera and computer. By that time, I'll be too old to care though!

For Christmas I got an Epson Picturemate photo printer. I look like an Epson ad here - maybe they should be paying me!

Vickie - You made it sound wonderful so I was inspired to walk to my dining room to see that yes, my DH bought an Epson too! Now, we are set to print out shots that we like.

Barb - I'm sorry I missed the QVC show...would have liked to have seen you and Alexa!! Will just have to wait until the cruise or if we're lucky, the terminal building!

Since we are 30 days out, I will have to be on the lookout for my Fed Ex man. My TA is having our docs sent directly to us so we could get them quicker. I don't blame her, it saves her money. Come on Fex Ex man.....ring that bell!!!

Last year out TA had the docs sent to him then called us to come pick them up. I didn't ask this year but I presume he will do the same. As soon as someone else gets theirs I will be on the phone to him if he hasn't called me!

I figured I better drag us off the 2nd page.
We are helping a friend clean out his house so he can put it on the market, so I haven't been home much. Also, DD & I may be driving out to Vegas with my parents next week. They have to get everything in order to see if they want to do it. I told them I have to be home by the 2nd to get ready for our trip. I may be going totally crazy this weekend if we do leave next week.
I better figure out my new camera tomorrow

My TA just called and our docs are here! She's working on our Alaska cruise for next summer so I'll pick up our docs and finalize Alaska on Monday This is exciting!!

Barb - Have a safe trip to Las Vegas! Hope you can keep in touch while you're there.

Hurray!! When I came to the cruise meets ours was in the box as just having been updated. I didn't hear my my TA but hopefully next week.

I told my DH I am going to set up the "cruise" room. Our guest bedroom will be the staging area to gather things. Only four weekends left before we leave.

I might get the chance to see Barb in Vegas. Jay and I are going up there with some friends next weekend.
Three weeks from now, I'll be in WDW.......hope those storms die down, darn it!
A little rain there is nice to cool things off, but I've never experienced a hurricane and don't care to.

And.....we had a nice little surprise this week. Jay & I were invited by the New York, New York Hotel & Casino to go on a cruise with a few of their "valued" players. Hey, I didn't make that phrase up, they did.......
Anyway, who could resist a free (totally) cruise and airfare??
Bad news: It leaves the weekend that you all are getting off the ship, so we won't be able to go to Disneyland and meet up.
Good news: I saved a bunch of money (not by switching to Geico) by getting our D-Land reservation & airline tix refunded. I'd had to pay way too much for our flights anyway.....and luckily, they were with Southwest, so the funds are reusable.
So, it's a Royal Caribbean cruise, out of Miami, on the Explorer of the Seas. 7 nights....and it goes to Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Jay & I were in Belize 16 years ago, so I imagine a lot has changed since then...and have never been to any of the others. And....it's our first trip alone in I don't remember how long. First ever cruise alone.
So the joke is: the pressure is on ME...as far as packing, unpacking, packing, unpacking and packing again. I must be nuts.

We started packing today. Had no choice since we will only be home 2 or 3 days before we fly back across the coutry.
We really are leaving Monday morning. I must be totally . Now this really is a last minute trip, we only thought up this crazy plan Monday and made all of our reservations today. My dad had free rooms to use out there and didn't want them to go to waste.

I plan on finding a computer to use sometime. I know I can use my parent's friend's computer once we get to Vegas. I'm sure I can find at least one more to use before that. Now I wish I had bought that laptop...oh well.

Cathy, at the sailaway party, deck 10, starboard side sounds like a great place to meet. How does 5:15 sound? That way we will have just gotten underway and that gives the kids time for dancing and the adults time for drinking before we meet.

Now I won't be here when the docs arrive...bummer. Gotta have DH look them over when the do arrive.

More fires today....I'm lovin that smoky smell again...not.... these aren't really very close, but we can still see them and smell them. RAIN!

I can imagine it must be exciting sailing away. I wonder if they do the special escorts out and all for us too or was that just the first cruises out there? I will wear my DIS button and maybe make a sign or something to hold up like when you are picking people up at the airport. What would the sign say, something like DIS Board Cruise meet? Only people who are on this particular thread will be DISers onboard since it is our week. Maybe I can PM anyone who hasn't been back visiting us for awhile and hope they at least log on to the site if not the thread.

Here's a quick run down on things as I remember them in my jumbled up, brain:
DIS meet on deck 10, starboard side during the sailaway party.
16 people are linked for late dining.
I can't remember how many are linked for early dining since I am on late.
We will all remember to have tons of fun.

Barb - Plans sound good. The only thing I can think of is the "cabin tour" but that still needs to be decided around sea day schedules etc. And, we have the "high tea" on Monday @ 3!! Enjoy Vegas...DH will be there the 26th-28th - staying at Palace Station. He wanted to try a "local" place a little ways off of the strip.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm celebrating my last 40-something birthday today ! DDs gave me tickets to the Eagles concert in September...does that date me or what!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. I worked and took call almost every day this past week - making up for all the time that I'm going to be gone in July/August. I can't complain because I'm the one who makes the call schedule...

Well, I'm a little upset at our TA - she got us the Fantasmic dessert thing but wasn't able to get us on the balcony. I think if I had done it myself - like I did with Cinderella's Royal Table for DD's birthday last (up at the crack of dawn with 2 cell phones in hand), I bet I could have gotten it myself. Ah well, live and learn.

Deck 10 Starboard sounds great to me - we'll see you all there at the Sailaway!

We can't really pack yet - we're going to Breckenridge in 2 weeks and then to Albuquerque after that for a wedding turned "commitment ceremony". Whatever. The tickets were non-refundable so, even though the wedding is "off" we're still going. We have only 2 days from when we get back to when we live for CA.

Wow, It's really hitting home now how close we are.....

Stacey - hands down, you made the better choice. I wouldn't pass up a free cruise - even for Disney! You can always do Disney later.... Hope those fires settle down soon!
