Well I called about the vow renewal, explained what I was calling about and said it was for next August out of California and the girl puts me on hold for several minutes. When she comes back she says "you're cruising out of Port Canaveral, right?" and I say no out of Los Angeles and she tells me I must be mistaken "we don't cruise out of Los Angeles" I fill her in on Disneyland's 50th and the Magic going to California and she puts me on hold again. Comes back and tells me they are not doing any weddings or vow renewals on the California cruises. I'm going to try emailing just to see what response I get that way.

Stacey, how's the mouth feeling tonight? I go back to the oral surgeon next week . He's cute so I don't mind. DH just laughs at me and keeps reminding me that I'm petrified of the dentist so I shouldn't be so happy to go see the oral surgeon. At least these visits are quick checks to make sure I'm healing correctly.

Off to pack more of the kitchen.

Couldn't find anywhere on the DisneyWeddings site to email a specific inquiry about vow renewals on the West Coast cruises. Just a generic form to fill out. Maybe I'll go back to that one and send it today and see if I get any response.

Vickie.....I'm looking to see if I have Cathy Ingle's e-mail. She's one of the people at FairyTale weddings...the one who is going to try (I hope) to get me our vow renewal at Christmas, and she handled Megan's wedding. You can tell her that I recommended her "Highly".....
On the longer cruises (7 night) they will do two renewals..on the sea days. They already have 2 booked for the 10 night...I am still hoping that Cathy can convince them to do one more, on the 3rd day at sea.

We are 1 settlement down and 1 to go. We can stay in the house until 5:00 Sunday and then we have to find a place to sleep. We will either go to my parents or to a friend's house.

Vickie, good luck getting info on the vow renewal. I just don't think that's something I would like to do - I don't know why .

There are days when I wonder why I got married in the first place! LOL
But most of the time, he's an okay guy. I want to do it because I'm selfish. I didn't have a real wedding the first time, and I've always been sorry about that. Not my fault....blame the DSIL...she took my day! Long story.

Feeling a ton better finally. The two appointments today made me tired. Took a little nap. Now I probably won't sleep tonight.

My mom comes in tomorrow at 3:00. I'll have to leave for the airport at about 1:30. It's a long way from our house. At least I have time to get some last minute things done.

I won't be able to get on here very often while she's here. Jilljill, if there's something really important that I need to see, e-mail me please.
We're going to Las Vegas on Wednesday (just Mom and I) and we'll be back on Saturday. Mom will then stay until the following Wednesday. She's having hip replacement surgery this fall, and has a hard time getting around, so Vegas should be interesting. We have a nice room at the MGM with an outdoor terrace and hot tub, but she may not be able to climb in it. Also, it's a two story room....bedrooms upstairs....I may end up carrying her. Good thing she only weighs 103 pounds. Yeah...103....I HAD to take after my dad!!!
Anyway...wish me luck....I'm going to need a LOT of patience.

Now you're going for the mean daughter award. You mean you couldn't get a room with an elevator in it?!?

I'm going to be without my computer for a few days. I'm going to try and convince DH to keep it connected tonight - not sure it will work though.
Still not sure where we are staying tomorrow night. If it's at my parents I probably won't be on here; if it's at my friend's I will be able to get on here. We still have tomorrow to figure that out. It will probably depends how DD makes out at the beach this weekend. She's worried about the move (that it won't go as planned) - something a 10 yo shouldn't worry about.

Stacey - Have fun in Vegas. I didn't even know MGM had great rooms like yours...have only stayed in the "cheap" rooms there!!

Also, I found a cute badge holder on eBay...it has a red Mickey Icon printed on it!!

Stacey, When my parents visit they go to bed fairly early and I get on the computer then.

Hope the 11 yr old birthday is fun this weekend. I am having trouble remembering whose post I read these things in because there are more than 3 of us now. I usually have a few pages to catch up on. I should keep paper by the computer and write things down that I want to comment on.

Barb - the CM lanyard that I'm looking for is the Imagineering Blue Dragon Mickey Icon. Brynee collects all things Imagineering/Sorcerer Mickey. I use the Patriotic Mickey Icon for my work ID - used to have the Dalmation lanyard but the dalmation fell off of the bolo part and a co-worker threw it away rather than leaving it on my desk!! Oh, well, I don't think that is available anymore. Thanks for offering to check on lanyards for me!

Hi Guys! (Gals!)

Cathy, that's a good idea...I should wait, it's just that I can't stand sitting around doing nothing.

Anyway....we had fun today. Took DD Jordan (14) to the mall for Christmas cruise clothes (which hopefully will be repeats on OUR cruise)
Even with almost everything on sale, I dumped a good amount of $$ though. She better not grow too much before next summer!!

Have a great week....I will check in again...we leave for Vegas on Wednesday and come back Saturday night.
I want to take my lap top. Mom will have a COW! But, if we lose, and run out of money, at least I can go online. Maybe I'll tell her I'll buy her stuff on e-Bay!! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Does anyone know how WDW fared during Hurricane Jeanne? I can't believe those poor people have had to deal with 4 hurricane's in their state.

I'm back online. We moved yesterday and actually got the computer hooked up after midnight. I said it could wait, but DH decided to make me happy and hook it up last night . Off to unpack more boxes .
