I never made a countdown timer for WDW (I guess we're only allowed two?) so I've been watching yours, jilljill....
It will seem funny to see it under 24 hours tomorrow.

So, Stacey...when you get done with your laundry & invoices, what are you going to do??????

Have a great time on your trip guys!!! I will miss you and I will try to keep our thread on the 1st page!

Can you imagine how exciting it will be when/if someone else joins the thread for our sailing? They will have pages and pages to catch up if they don't get scared away. They will probably realize that it is just 3 of us plus a few visitors.

Do they/we ever delete old threads for past cruises or do people use them to keep in touch afterwards?

I joined the Christmas thread when they had over a hundred pages. I couldn't keep track of everyone. I did eventually read it all, but it was easier to just jump right in!

I have 20 hours to go until I am officially at the World.

I don't know who deletes the "old" threads. I know that I read a while back that the "Powers That Be" wanted past cruisers to find somewhere to keep in touch besides this board. Maybe the Community Board, or something.

The people that I keep in touch with, that I met on DCL....we e-mail eachother.

Hoping my DH gets home soon so we can go get dinner. I cooked the last few nights, that's my quota for the month!

Stacey and I have had a blast. We have done a lot of shopping and eating. Gonna do more eating in a couple of hours.
Hopefully the heavy rain will hold off until after dinner. Spoke too soon, I just looked out and it's pouring. Oh well, at least I'm not home.

Gotta check on the family.

Sorry, I was away in New Hampshire for 3 days and then I fight with my DD for the computer. She has her own forums she goes to for TV shows and music.

Glad you had a good time, any stories to tell? Anything new at WDW since 2000 when I was there last?

Lots of stories, but pretty boring. I posted my trip report on our Christmas cruise thread, if you want to read the whole boring thing.......
Nah, we had a great time. It really was marvelous. Barb would be better at telling you what is new. I usually go to Disneyland, so I'm not the best one to say.

I am glad we left when we did, even though Megan and I did NOT want to come home at all! If I were there right now it would be panic city for me!!!

I lived through a horrible tornado when I was 17, and I've had my share of disasters, thank you.

Glad they don't have hurricanes on the Mexican coast. Or do they??

They do have hurricanes on the Western coast of Mexico too, but I think they tend to head West out to sea more.

Bet you are glad you weren't there for Charley, I wonder if there was any damage to WDW? I don't see anything on the news about it at all.

Hi Cathy....so far, from what I've heard, there was some broken glass (windows, I guess) at DownTown Disney. And Animal Kingdon is still closed, most likely because the animals are probably a tad jumpy.
Haven't heard about the MK or MGM or Epcot, but I believe they are /were open today.

I am very glad we left when we did. I guess I didn't realize those storms would go across the whole state, although it is narrow.

Just back from the Wonder 8/8 and rebooked while onboard for 8/6/05. Looking foreward to joining you, it'll be myself, DH, DS 16 (at sailing) and DD 11 (at sailing). Also looking foreward to not having to spend any money on airfare to get there, we're about a 5 hour drive from LA.

Thanks, Vickie, for letting us know about your family. Didn't you just love the Wonder? Just think of 7 whole days!
We're all very excited. And glad to finally have another family join us!
You probably read this, but I have myself, DH, and our daughter 14, and son 11.
Just be forewarned....we talk about mostly nothing at all so far.
When we finally get some ideas of the shore excursions and all, we may manage to come up with a little bit of intellegent conversation!

Glad to hear there are going to be at least a few other cruisers!

Actually, the ship is pretty well booked....I just think it must be a lot of West Coast folks who don't know about the DIS.

Hi everyone, we have a new friend named Charley and we don't want to see him EVER again!!! We were finally able to get home today thru Tampa, only 2 days late.
Lots and lots of trees down all over the place. Windows knocked out at Journey into Imagination - I hope my pictures come out. Very weird to see tree limbs, leaves and lots of debris all over the parks and property. On Friday all the hotels were shut down before 7:00 - shops and restaurants closed. We were the only ones driving around property besides security. Even the guard shacks were vacated. Very eerie. Oh well, we can say we were there for a history making event and we stayed safe, that's all that counts.
