Looking like we will be sailing alone on this one

We opted to book on this sailing after our August 24th sailing was cancelled

This will be the first Cruise for our (then 5 yr) old DGD. It will be myself, my DM and my Aunt (will be her first cruise as well). initially we were to be joined by my DS, DD and their significant others, but they have opted to remain in Orlando to immerse themselves into the Parks for a few extra days while we sail.

Our DGD has been busy preparing for her trip on "Mickey Mouse's Boat" since we booked last January (has her "itinerary all planned out LOL)...even has her favorite "Stuffies" and her "Princess" dresses all packed and ready to go.

Hope to have the chance to meet other cruisers before we sail. Merry Christmas Everyone!!

We are so excited! We are getting ready already to set sail on August 31st 2014 on the dream cruise ship. Looking forward to all the magic of a Disney cruise. Also the magic that with dis boards we can add! Shopping for our fish extender already and thanks to my fabulous sister in law we have our first door magnet! Glad to see there are other members getting ready to set sail in August. We are going on the Dream and have customized and ordered our fish extender. There are 4 of us and we are already looking into buying some cute items to share with others. We are looking forward to our cruise, it is a first for all of us. Hi! You'll LOVE cruising, it's so much fun!

Here's some FE information

A FE is a lot of fun! How it works:

* We start a sign-up, and have a final date for sign-ups so people can have time to get their gifts together (this would probably be a 2-3 weeks before the cruise). In FEs I've done, each group is limited to about 15-20 families so it's not a financial burden for someone to participate, and if we have more families that want to participate we just start a second FE! People can then choose if they want to do gifts for just their group, or all groups.

* Someone is the FE handler - that can be me if no one else wants to do it - and puts together the lists of who's participating. When you sign up, you'll want to give the first names in your group, as well as genders and ages and also your stateroom number(s), so you know where to deliver the gifts.

* You can do one gift for the stateroom, gifts for each person, etc. Whatever you'd like! And no one should stress about whether it's homemade, store-bought, etc - it's the thought that counts!

* Each stateroom brings a FE to hold their gifts, either by having someone else make it (I bought mine on Etsy) or by making it yourself.

* Once you're on the cruise, you deliver the gifts! You can do this whenever you'd like; I typically deliver mine the first night, but you can do it whenever! It's a lot of fun to come back to your stateroom, and see what fun things you've got!

Also do you buy I gift for the whole cabin or do you buy one for each person? Also can someone help me on how to reply or comment on someone's post without just putting a regular post like this.

First, if you want to reply to a comment, just click on Quote on the bottom right corner of their post. That will then bring you to the Reply screen, with their comments at the top, and then you can add your comments below that.

On the FE, what normally happens is that you would have a gift for each stateroom in your group. That's why if we have a lot of people that want to participate and the group gets large, we split it up. So, for example, if there were 15 families/cabins in the FE, you could either do a gift for the whole family, or you could also do individual gifts for the parents and kids, whatever you'd like. On my last cruise I ended up doing a gift for the parents / adults, and then a gift for the girls and a gift for the boys. I think this time around I'm going to just do one gift per cabin, but it's totally up to you. Does that help?

I have done the same thing. And yes they do have some really cute stuff and lots to choose from. The list that you ask to be on is that a certain one for that cruise? Sorry I'm new and still trying to figure all of this out. Lol!

I think we can choose to give a gift on only one day. I don't believe there will an assigned day just whatever day works best for you. The list is going to be created by DWGal210 specifically for our cruise ship and sail date.
