August 30th 2014, 7 night Mediterranean Cruise - Disney Magic

Personally, I am looking forward to seeing the new adult areas. Maybe they will have a nice comedy show in Fathoms, I think the lighting will be nice there, too.

I am sure I'll be spending mine mostly with my (will-be-then) 12 year old. Since the trip is for my graduating daughter and her friend is coming with us, they will probably spend some time in the adult areas! (They are 24.)

I have tentatively made a hotel booking today - staying at the Tryp Apolo from Tues 26th

Only 221 days until boarding day :jumping1:

Yay! That is always a fun step in the planning process.... I take that as now at 99.5% that you are coming? :thumbsup2

We are most definitely on this cruise (yay) and have been on the FE list for a while. I am new to FE but not new to Disney - can someone just tell me what happens next? At some point before the cruise will someone post/email final numbers and room details etc for the FE just so that people know who to buy for? This might sound like a silly question or may have been covered a million times already, if so then I'm sorry - I'm a sleep deprived Mummy currently and my DD is so excited about the FE that I just don't want to get it wrong!

:cool1: It's great that you are definitely coming!! :dance3:

Don't stress about the FE. The list will be closed about a month before (Maybe longer? I will ask on fb as well.)

Then I will lock it (if I know how???) or I will take it down and email copies of it to those involved. I get into the list every now and then just to have an idea how many have signed up.

If very many people sign up, I will split the list in two... but I find that highly unlikely... From what I could see the 7 night med cruises didn't seem to attract that many participants.

I welcome people's suggestions and/or opinions :goodvibes

We are leaving Tampa on August 26th on the red eye across the pond. We'll arrive in Paris in time for lunch. My DD has booked a Marriott on points for 2 nights. She won't tell me what hotel, says it is a surprise. The surprise may be that my DH and I may be on a sleeper sofa! The night of August 29th (my birthday), we are staying at a Hilton at the Charles De Gaulle airport for our 9:10 a.m. flight to Barcelona. We'll be there about 11 a.m. and probably take the Disney transportation from the airport. We have a balcony on deck 7, way in the back. It is one of those with the white wall instead of the clear panel. After the cruise, we'll be headed to the airport for a 11:40 a.m. flight back to Florida.

This is our third Disney cruise. I am not anti-fish extender, I just don't know much about it. With our luggage restrictions, I will barely have enough room for my clothes, so I think I'll pass on that.

It is about time to look at excursions.

Great, thank you for clarifying that. I wish it was August already. I see you live in Athens? JEALOUS!!!!

.

We have room 7122 which I believe is the same kind of balcony. We haven't got our flights yet as I am still waiting to confirm time off of work and I don't have seniority.

Great place to be, you'll have a great view of Villefranche from your balcony, It's so pretty!!

The DW and I booked this cruise while we were on the Dream in December, not really sure if we were going to do it or switch to something else. But the more the DW looks at the excursions and ports the more she wanted to do it. So yesterday booked the Renaissance using Marriott points for two days before the cruise and the Hilton for the day after. Now all we have to do is see if we want to wait on the air to see if prices go down a bit or just say what the heck and book them now.

We've been on the Wonder twice and three times on the Dream, looking forward to see what the upgrades on the Magic are like. We were docked next to her in Nassau last month, don't remember the Magic/Wonder class ship being that smalll;)

We've had our air booked since October. Glad I have it. The price seems to be heading up.

We have our air too. Is anyone looking into going to to cinque terre? We are thinking about doing this instead of going to pisa. Has anyone done this? This is our first trip here and just want enjoy. Should we do pisa or the coast. Booked our tour in Rome. Planning is half of my fun...

You may have already told me a couple of pages back, but could you tell me again who you booked with in Rome?

Hi. We went with can't be missed tours. They have good reviews and the cost is 65 euros per person. From what I read pretty idiot proof and honestly that's what I'm looking for without hiring a private car.

Hi all, hope you're all having a good weekend?

I knew it would happen but now I have booked the hotel DH has confirmed he can't have that week off so we won't be able to join you. I'm a little gutted as I have really enjoyed getting to know you all and was looking forward to meeting you.

The good news is, on seeing my disappointment, my DH has agreed to the WBTA instead (a big deal as I this has been 1 I have wanted to do since I was a little girl and DH always said he would never do one.

So friends it is goodbye for now and I hope we'll get to cruise together again someday. Hopefully 1 of you will do a TR or upload some pics so I can live this cruise through those.

Take care everyone xxxx

Well, It is totally worth it for the WBTA!!! That is when I cannot get off work :( I hope you have the best time!
