August 30th 2014, 7 night Mediterranean Cruise - Disney Magic

Hola, Pronto, Hello :wave2:
We are just about to book this cruise. It will be a first for us on DCL. We are a bit nervous as we are all adults ME 34, DM 64, DD 65. We've had a rough few years so we need this lovely Europe adventure as it will be our first to go there.

:grouphug:

Sorry you have not been having a good time of it lately. Don't be intimidated by being all adults, I know many adults who cruise Disney and my Non-Disney loving DH asked me to book this cruise after doing it this year, just the two of us! As soon as you book and start dreaming of it, it will feel like the vacation has started already :goodvibes

Welcome onboard! Last month my non-Disney DH and I took the Wonder to Alaska . Just last night he told me it was the best trip we've ever taken. We are both looking forward to this Med trip, just the two of us. One of the things I like about going with Disney is feel of the ships with all ages onboard having fun together.

Welcome aboard lhuggi1! sorry to hear you have been having a bad time of it lately

Don't worry about being adult only. We only cruise just my DH and I (no children yet but one day which is another reason i can't 100% commit to this cruise for a little while)

You will all have an absolute blast!:cool1:

Carsland was fun. The weather was great. We had a great time. I will try to upload a few pics.

Hi! It has been a little quiet, hasn't it? We have tickets bought and are coming to Barcelona on Tuesday. I am looking at hotels now. I am pretty sure we will be taking it easy at the ports. That's about as far as my planning has gone ;)

I'm still holding on flights travel agent thinks they will come down. ..keep your fingers crossed. I think we are doing tours in Rome and Naples and going dyi in other ports. We are planning to fly overnight Wed to get to Barcelona Thursday and leave Monday after cruise..any goid hotrls for post cruise?

Hi again! Having the weekend in Barcelona afterwards will make it a little easier to get off the boat, won't it? We have to fly back immediately. As far as hotels are concerned, only you can know what kind of experience you want. Do you want to be by the beach, city center, neighborhood, etc? Also, only you can know your budget.

I myself am torn between an economy by the beach or a modern independent (not a chain) in the center.

May I recommend a site called trip advisor? It is loaded with information by real travelers.

 11 month dance!

Hi, everybody!
We are an Argentine family, we are Disney lovers :love:and this is going to be our third cruise!! My party is DH, DW (me), DS (12), DD (10) and DD (8).
We made the Caribbean Cruise last month and since we arrived our country we are planning our next cruise. At the beginning we doubted about Mediterranean because of long excursions. Since in our last cruises, our kids loved to stay on the cruise instead of walking and sweating but now we decided to do all ports with them... still thinking:rotfl:...
What made more special our last trips we taking part in the FE!! please add us:yay:!!

Best wishes!

Hello Magicbegins! Welcome to our group. What a long flight, right? Here is the link to our google doc with the FE link. Please add your information if you would like to take part.

It is easy to do half day excursions with your children, letting them see iconic places that they may find interesting and making it back to the ship early. That is what we did last year because neither my DH nor my DD (19) have the patience or stamina to last the whole day ;) There are many offered by Disney and, of course, most are easy to do on your own.

Less than 10 months to go... Am I the only one counting?:hippie:

My husband (27) and myself (28) are tentatively booked on this cruise. Just not sure about the flight prices to Europe. We will have to see if we can swing it.

Got a good deal today. Saved over $400 from what we were thinking. Now the trip seems real
