Is anyone looking into doing a private tour in Rome? I am looking into doing this. It looks like about double what it would be to do a bus ride alone to rome. They pick you up at the train station.

Hi folks - just booked this cruise as I just can't resist a good old disney cruise!! There will be 3 of us, my husband, myself and my daughter who will be 9 then! We did the same cruise back in 2011 and it was fab. So looking forward to 2014 now!

Is anyone combining the cruise with a trip to other places in Europe?

I haven't logged into the DisBoards in a long time, but wanted to add to this comment. We are planning a week long stay at Disneyland Paris following the cruise. I thought it would be cool if Disney offered a way to combine them to help with planning, but I haven't heard of anything. We have been to Paris and DLRP before but we felt like our Disney experience there was too short.
Are you thinking of combining your cruise with anything like that?

Wow! The group is growing. If anyone is interested there is a great free iPhone app called ship mate. I've downloaded it for this and our Southern Caribbean cruise in November.

I downloaded the android version for my T-Mobile Galaxy SII....I really like the app. Doesn't seem to have the full list of excursions that I saw on DCL site. Maybe these are not DCL excursions?

Does anyone know what to expect from being able to use their smart phones during the excursions? Not sure if my G SII will work in Span, France and Italy.

I know the ship has expensive, but slow internet service, and was reminded to be sure your wifi is turned off when you don't want to use it so you don't get surprise ship internet charges on your room bill.

Not really sure yet. We are contemplating a bit of a road trip spending a week through Portugal and Spain, a week on the cruise then a week driving back through France,Germany and Belgium. need to work out the logistics before making a decision though.

I do really fancy a DLP trip next year but may do that as a separate trip.

Hi folks!

Change in DH job means we will no longer be able to do this week so we have changed to a new itinerary. I am glad to have met you all and hopefully we will get to cruise one day in the future.

I will check back every once in a while to keep up the Roll Call for you all and am happy to keep the Facebook page going.

I will also report back on our experience next month.

Sorry. Message posted before I was done. Anyway we think we found a tour company for Rome and naplese..we still have over a year to go s nd I'm super excited. Travel agent is telling us the best time to buy airfare is this october. Seems early to me but this will our first trip to Europe do what do I know.

We looked into adding a trip to disneylae Paris but the cost to add 4 days was almost the same as the cruise. That wasn't even staying onsit. We are having a hard time justifying that much extra. Anyone else notice this?

Just back from our 4 night and back to work now BOO!!

I wish we were still doing this sailing as our short Med cruise was the best vacation ever but 4 nights definitely wasn't long enough!
