The phone rang in our cabin at 8:30. It was room service telling us that DW's coffee was on its way. Boy are these people prompt. When you select 8:30 - 9:00 on the card the night before, that phone rings at 8:30 on the button.
After dressing we made our way to Lumiere's for breakfast. We ate there most mornings. Today Sylvester waited on us and spoiled us as usual. Berries covered in whipped cream, two bowls of fruit and brewed iced tea awaited DW. The boys and I had eggs, waffles and pancakes.
Afterwards it was up 1 deck to shop at Mickey's Mates then back to our cabin to change into swim suits and up to deck 10 to find lounge chairs. We rotated between decks 9 & 10 and cooling off in the pool and sunning on deck 10. DW went to see the Island Magic show at 11:30 at which point I stayed in the adult pool until lunch at Lumiere's.
DW(15 ) & I had the meat loaf which we both enjoyed while DW enjoyed the vege. tart and the grilled chicken. DW(19) showed up and had the tilapia. DW(15) had the double chocolate torte and I had the banana cream pie for desert.
Then it was back up to deck 10 for more sun and to deck 9 to cool off and watch the pool games at 3:00.
At four we headed to the room to prepare for formal night. We were on deck 3 at 5:15 for formal pics. and a drink. Then we went up to deck 4 to meet Capt. Tom before dinner at Lumiere's. Capt. Tom was friendly, but rather stiff as though meeting passengers is not his favorite duty.
Dinner was garlic beef tenderloin and potato stacks, followed by creme brulee, grand mariner w/warm chocolate syrup and white chocolate domes filled with raspberry parfait and raspberry coulis sprinkled with flakes of dark chocolate. The boys had apple tart and ice cream.
We waddled back up to the room to change and attend Hercules, which was much better this year than two years ago.
A blanket animal (crab) met us as well as the next day's navigator. It seems that blanket animals have replaced towel animals.
After walking around deck 10 for awhile it was time to collapse into bed.
