August 29th, 2009--Eastern Magic...Let's Get it Started!

Got my reservations done too, at least the Palo, Spa, and Castaway stuff.

Figured we could do the excursions later as not as important to us as the main ones. Hey and I finished 12 hrs after I started last night. Whew!!!!

I finally was able to get in and make Palo reservations. I wanted to do Palo Brunch on Monday but both 11:00 and 11:30 were all booked and 10:30 was just too early for us. So I decided to change Brunch to Sunday at 11:30. I also booked dinner for Thursday--- it looks like they still had all the times and dates available for Palo dinner.

i'm in... brunch is just about sold out... bummer... I wanted monday, had to get thurs...

Yep...finally got in too!!!

Made Palo brunch on Thursday; all time slots were still open.

Only 10:30 on Sunday and Thursdays are now available online. All later Sunday and all Monday slots are full.

Also reserved the Barefoot Sail and Snorkel for St. Johns

Finally got mine, of course the original time I was so close to getting last night is now long gone, we have a party of 4 and the only thing left was Thur 10:30 or 11am. We took 11am. I had originally wanted Sunday, and was able to get that time slot a few times last night, but it never confirmed!

Got Palo ressies 7:30 mon for dinner and 11:30 Thurs for Brunch... wanted dinner thurs brunch mon exact times... Oh well.. try to switch later... can't get back in to make excursion ressies... says someone in my acct again....

I got the call from DCL to say things were up and running and to go ahead and book. Only thing is, what I wanted was no longer available, so what was the point this morning of leaving the info for Guest Relations?:confused3 Guess I'll try again some other time.

I feel sorry for everyone else who gave their names and have no idea that they are not getting their reservations.

Yes, a similar thing happened for me . . . it is really annoying to stay up to try to book things you really want and be blocked by a poor website.

I was able to book a few massages and the Stingray adventure on CC, so I will just leave it at that.

I was finally able to get into the system, and there are no Palo lunch or high tea reservations available...only dinner. This feels like my WDW ADR call last week. :sad2:

Received a call from DCL while I was in church:scared1: Thank God for vibrate mode:thumbsup2

I got Palo brunch for Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

I wanted Palo brunch on Monday at 11:00 a.m.

Joe

Got everything booked!!!! Palo dinner Mon 7:30, brunch Thurs 11:30, castaway cay jet skis at 2:00, and a spa treatment on Mon!!!! Hopefully I can convince Darren as I booked the couples villa!!!!

I pre-registered my dd9 for her lab/club but I didn't see any options for the dd13. Does that mean that she will not have to pre-register?

Joe

I think I read somewhere we don't register for OQ, only the lower 2 clubs. My DS11 will be there too.
I figured that when I registered DS for the Lab and didn't see DD noted anywhere. My thoughts are because OQ there is no sign in/out procedures, it's come/go as you wish. I'm still have issues with DD 11 going to a come/go as you wish club. I'm planning on keeping track of her with texting. What are your plans?

Watch the texting rates however, I looked up how much calls were and there is a similar hike in fees for texting. We have Verizon and they stated that it would be higher than the normal fees. I plan on taking the cell phones from the girls and giving them a walkie talkie to communicate with us. Figured it would be less costly.

We have ATT and unlimited texting. I checked with them and it would be .50 per each outgoing text, incoming is free. So I figure even at 10 per day (which would be $5), that will cost me about $35 cheaper and more reliable than buying walkie talkies.

Out of my 3 sons, Mark is the most responsible, although forgetful at times. We are going to put a wipeoff board up on the inside of our cabin door, so no one walking down the hall can erase it. He will need to let us know where he is going if he leaves the club, or he will know where his dad and I are and just let us know. I am one of those overly protective parents, so this is really hard for me, but I've got to start trusting him sometime. I don't want them forgetting about a dinner, or something else we have planned to do as a family, they tend to love the clubs so much, they don't want to come out. I also know all 11+ yo do this, and I don't want to embarrass him in front of his new friends.

I hear you... It's still hard. I'm debating the texting vs the white board. The reason I like texting is that I'll know immediately where she is, whereas with the white board, I'll have to go back to the cabin to "find" her. Also with the texting, I'll be able to contact her quickly and tell her to "get a move on" if we need to be somewhere. Decisions Decisions......

I am glad to see my DD (13) will have company in Ocean Quest :yay:. I must say I am feeling nervous about having herself sign in and out and being able to leave anytime:scared1:. I plan on making it very clear that she is to stay in OQ or our stateroom or come where we will be. I like the idea of having a dry erase board and leaving notes so we all know where we are.
