August 29th, 2009--Eastern Magic...Let's Get it Started!

After many attempts, I was able to book brunch at 11am on the 31st and dinner at 7pm on the 2nd. I'm quitting for now and will do the shore excursions tomorrow or whenever the website is working better. I won't be home much of the day tomorrow which is the only reason I was willing to stay up so late tonight. Ugh, I'm going to be exhausted tomorrow though!

Congrats!! I'm still watching Mickey swim....and will keep trying for a little while yet!
 
Well, I went to bed at 3:10 with Mickey swimmin' and here it is at 7:20 and he is still in the water. Boy, oh boy, will his body be withered!!:lmao::lmao:
 

Yes, I got up a bit ago and still can't make any reservations -- I get farther now, can even occasionally get to the page where you see the times and availabilities, but it always gives the error message before I can actually confirm anything . . .
 
I can't even log in at all now and am thinking at this point that it won't happen today. I'm happy I got my Palo times booked, but would like to do the shore excursions if possible.

I'm on hold with DCL. There was an option when I called the main number to press for internet problems, so I think they're aware of the issue. I called 8 min ago and they said my wait time was 18 min.... keep you posted

Congrats that you got through. I tried in the middle of the night when I woke up for a trip to the little girls room, still didn't get through. Can't even get into my reservation at all this morning, very, very frustrating. Off to Walmart now, will try again later. I am not going to waste my day in front of this machine!!!

That's the point we're at now. I got through last night, but it took 2 full hours to actually get through and book Palo brunch, then dinner. FWIW, every dinner time was available, and only the 11:30am slot on the 31st was booked for brunch. I now need to get ready to leave the house, pretty much for the whole day, so I guess we'll try again tonight. Based on my past experience when this happened on our cruise in 2007, DCL didn't 'fix' the website till Monday around 10am.

When I called them a few minutes ago, the wait was 41 minutes -- at this point, I hate to give them any extra money after all this frustration:scared: I may just let this go . . .
 
Called DCL at 9 and tried to book directly but was told it can only be done online so I called back and am now on hold to speak to the IT dept. Will keep you informed what I find out.
 
Oh So Frustrated.....DVC didn't have us listed as Castaway members so they had to contact Disney....Mmmmm seems that the systems are linked and the last time we did this it was automatic. I even stated to them at the booking time that we were repeaters and they said that they could see that. ARGHHH
makes me want to have them walk the plank. And I keep waiting to see Mickey go belly up since he never gets any air. :lmao:
 
got through to web support. they took my info and are forwarding it to guest services to contact the ship for palo ressies. excursions, you have to wait in. they'll contact me back, either later today or tomorrow to confirm. IF i'm able to get online before they contact me, I'll still be able to make ressies, so I'll be trying a few more times during the day today
 
My TA has spoken to them too -- they know there is an IT problem and said to keep checking every 30 minutes . . . I just would have liked to have gotten more sleep last night if there had been any way to know the website was down:sad1: It's my daughter's 12th birthday and I feel fried before the day has begun!

I just got off the phone as well and left the info for Palo. They gave me the same answers as far as the shore excursions. If anyone wants Palo ressies call DCL and get in touch with the website dept.
 
I called and left my info with the IT Department. They said that they would email the info and give me a call back when it is processed:confused3

I was FINALLY actually able to log in, but when I tried to make a reservation, I got swimming Mickey again...followed by an error message. I'm done. :headache:
 
Try now, I just made a dinner ressie with no issues. Also, I called this morning and paid off the balance and it's already registered.
