Just got off the phone with DD best friend parents and they have agreed to let her go with us to WDW and on the surprise cruise. They aren't even going to tell her that she gets to go until the week that we leave. Worst part was that I was supposed to have heard back 2 weeks ago and never did so I thought it was a no. I told DD that they weren't going to let her go. She told best friend that they said no. I decided to call them today to find out why and they were like "we are so excited that she can do this with your DD". I was like "I thought it was a no since I hadn't heard from you." All is fine and they still aren't going to say anything....especially about the cruise as it is a surprise and their daughter turns 16 on Christmas so it is kinda like a Double Sweet 16 Cruise for the 2 of them.

Now we will have at least two 16 year old girls that will be amped up because of an unexpected 7 day cruise

It doesn't get any better than that!

Hi everyone.

Dh and I are planning on booking this cruise onboard next week. We are on the 3 night.( As long as we have a good time)

We had orginally booked Aug. 22 but, were unsure paying the price for DCL.
( We have cruised other lines-our fav HAL)

When DCL offered the kids sail free, we moved our deposit from the 7 night to the three.

We are now wishing our 3 night was a 7night.

Great decision booking this cruise. Lucky you - a cruise coming up to tide you over!

How about something like "Summer's End Cruisers" or "Summer's End Magic Cruisers 2009" ????? We really are the last cruise completed before labor day, which marks the end of summer in tradition if not by the calendar . . .

Regardless of whether you like this one, yes, let's get a name -- makes us more of a group!

I agree ..... we need a group name. I really want to start working on things for the FE and need a name to put on some of the stuff I am thinking of doing. I like the one's above and yes we really are the last survivor's of the summer sailing.

Also, for those of you in the FE, we need to come up with a cutoff date for people to join, so we all have enough time get our stuff together. Let me know what you think and I will add it to the FE post #399 on p 27.

From reading most comments about our Eastern Itinerary, it sounds like it is both cheaper and more convient to book your own excursions

For those who have been there and done that, it this true?

For those doing the FE...We also need to figure out how you all want to do this. Our last cruise we did a one time delivery, some days would have an am and a pm delivery since there are as of right now 10 families participating. If this is ok, let me know. Also, if this is ok, then I would need to know if you have a particular day you need to deliver..ie before pirate night, first day...etc. I know sometimes people do specific gifts that they would like delivered during a certain time frame. I will do my best to accommodate everyone, but it will be on a first come first served basis. My stepson and his wife are now going to be joining us, so I need to see if they too would like to be involved in the FE.

Thank you! I always have my FE and door magnets in the bag I carry on the ship, because I like to decorate as soon as I get to the cabin . . .

Boy, tonight the image of being on the Magic putting magnets on the doors and settling in sounds pretty wonderful
