August 28th Cruise -- and other

Hi you Fellow August 28th Cruisers.....

We finally booked our week. Thank you all who replied with your opinions about sailing in August.

Now.....I have two more questions. My daughter (who is 17) wants to know if anyone sailing that week has a teenage son or daughter also going to the Teen Club who are 16 or 17.

AND, we have decided to go four days early and do a tour of Downtown Disney and Universal. We just did a week a DisneyWorld in November. Anyone have any suggestions about a nice hotel near Universal that has good prices and free shuttles? So far I have looked at the Radisson and the Wyndham.

Hi Cathy!

So glad to see you'll be sailing with us! Go and find the August 28th thread over on the Cruise Meets board, the link to that page is at the top of this board's page.

My older DS will be 16 when we cruise in August. He's turning 16 next month, in fact, so will be almost 16 1/2 when we sail. Will your daughter still be 17 on the cruise? I know that's the cut off age for attending the teen program onboard. I'm pretty sure there are other DIS cruisers on our cruise who have teens, too.

Yes, my daughter is 17 now and doesn't turn 18 until December. It was of utmost importance to her that we sail one more time before she is too old to do the teen club. She had a great time on our previous cruises and always makes new friends.

I'm sure she'll see your son there...
