I am so glad you are doing well...

OK, some mindless info.... I was checking to see how many ships were in ports with us (I KNOW!!! I have too much time on my hands while my kids are in school!!! LOL!!).

In Vancouver, the Norwegian Sun is embarking the same day as us. In Skagway, there will be 4 SHIPS IN PORT THAT DAY!!! Book excursions early! In Ketchikan there will be 3, and in Juneau it will be just the Wonder and the Volendam.

argh!!! Its frustrating! This is our 5th, and I have to wait to book excursions!!! I think I'll be OK, as the ship is not full. We are booked on a 4 night out of Miami on the refurbished Magic in November, so I'll have my gold lanyard for that!!

This link has the Island princess AND Volendam in Juneau... so who knows...
And only 2 ships in Ketchican along with us , Island princess and Silver Shadow.
And three in Skagway....Island Princess, Golden Princess and Statendam
Weird how it's different. The Island princess is definately following in our path though!

I believe that they are just not being offered on our sailing.

We booked Palo dinner for Wednesdy night @ 6.
This is our Tracey Arm day so we shouldn't be missing any on board activities.
We also booked Palo brunch on our last sea day. ( Sunday)
It is a tradition we have done every cruise. It's a way to say " goodbye" to the amazing food.... A nice way to spend the last day!

All available in Skagway.
Pilots choice Glacier Explorer and Mendehall glacier by helicopter -walk are both not available in Juneau,
Annette Island native discovery and a city tour in Ketchican are also showing as sold out. Like I said, I think they are just not being offered this cruise.

Tomorrow is port adventure day for me!!!! I hope we get what we want.

On another subject: We got an email from United and they have changed our flights going to Vancouver. We now will arrive at 11:59pm My husband thinks everything will be okay. I think I'm going to be cranky!! LOL

We are arriving on Saturday (but only if we are on time!!). Guess we will still be able to see some of Vancouver on Sunday afternoon.

Other news, LSU Baseball won the SEC Tournament over the weekend !! Woot!!
We will host a regional site this weekend on our way to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska........

Argh... got a 12pm boarding time! I should have got up at midnight! So annoyed! Disney should do if you pay in full for your 5th you are gold!

I don't know if I am going to be able to check in with Gold status for my November cruise! The pay in full date is Aug 24th and I will not be gold until we disembark Sept 2 from this cruise! Will I ever be gold?? (just venting!!)

Thanks! We are doing the train, and the Liarsville. My kids want to the panning, and see the little show. Alaska cruise tours has no availability for this, so I booked through Disney (train up, bus down to Liarsville). It was only about $100 more through Disney... oh well...

Donna, 12pm is ok as long as you are not looking to pay for an upgrade at the port.
You will walk right on the ship with probably no wait! 11:00am was the earliest anyway.

I was hoping to check for an upgrade. Right now a veranda is $1800 more.
Maybe half of that might be in our budget. Might.

And as for your gold status check in, as long as you are checking in BEFORE the 90 day mark of silvers, you should be ok. So you have like 15 days of open booking as a gold before the silvers get a chance. It should still work out! I am trying to calculate based on your paid in full date.... So I think you have until Sept 8th? Is that right?

Not for me. It has it at 12 pm. We are 5, so IDK if that is it. My kids get so excited. I guess we will have to hang out on the pier.
