you're right doccath, i was thinking the mickey pool, but wrote goofy pool, sorry!!! mickey pool is right outside of topsiders so you know the area i was thinking about.

i am new to the dis boards, why is it so important to have a door sign? all i read on the main site was that they were constantly being stolen thus a waste of time. please advise if you think that i need to make one. it is just my dh, myself, and dd(6).

The Mickey pool sounds like a great place to meet!! Can't we carry lotion onto the ship with us Pam? ISn't the restriction only to do with airline travel? Please tell me we can still carry on beer (not that I have a problem or anything

I am really trying to pack light as most advise. So, if you see us in the same clothes a couple of times, pretend you don't notice

I ordered lime green shirts on disney website for me and CJ (8) and Kayla (5). They didn't have Michael's size (11) and my husband is big on rolling his eyes about the whole DIS thing. I think the matching green shirts would put him over the edge!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon...very soon!!!!

Sounds like my Kayla will have a few friends on the cruise! Let's hope they can keep each other company at night in the club so we can enjoy some Disney nightlife!!!

Is anyone planning on rebooking while on board? Pretty funny as this trip is just about paid for!!!!

So I guess we're set for meeting by the drink station/Mickey pool. We finished putting a Mickey icon and our names on our lime green visors, so we should be easy to spot.

Our group will be in the lime green shirts that say Turner/Gormley family vacation on the back and Disney Magic, August 26.2006 on the front.Let me tell you, my boys rolled there eyes when I showed them, when I reminded them they have to be nice to me and wear them since I am signing the charge slip. Just found this thread. We are also going on 8/26 with just my dh and dd (7). My daughter is looking foward to meeting new friends and hanging out at the club. This will be our first Disney Cruise and we are looking foward to it. Is there anyone else coming from Massachusetts? 14 MORE DAYS and counting

Sounds like there are going to be alot of fun people on board.
So far there is a meet and greet at the soda fountain by the Mickey Pool at 3pm on Sat. Bring the family, there are going to be several 6y/o DDs
around, let them all meet up.

Hi Spoohs! Welcome to the thread. My family, DH, DS12, DD16 are from MA, but we now live just across the state line in RI. We are flying out of Boston the morning of the cruise...are you also? I am wondering how we will get to the airport with all of the tunnels closed! Well, it's always an adventure!

ON PREVIOUS THREADS SOMEONE WAS ASKING ABOUT EXCURSIONS SO I THOUGHT I WOULD THROW OUT SOME PLANS WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT DOING. I SENT OFF TO GET THE TWO FOR ONE COUPONS FOR KEY WEST AND HOPE THERE ARE STILL SOME LEFT AND THEY GET TO ME BEFORE THE CRUISE. WE ARE GOING TO DO THE TROLLEY TOUR AND THE PIRATE MUSEUM, I HAVE READ GREAT REVIEWS ON IT. IN GRAND CAYMAN WE ARE GOING TO DO STINGRAY CITY WITH MOBY DICK TOURS, THEY HAVE GOTTEN GOOD REVIEWS. IN GRAND CAYMAN, WE ARE GOING TO DO THE SIGHTSEEING ON OUR OWN AND I THINK WE ARE GOING TO TAKE A TAXI TO "DZUL HA BEACH". PREVIOUS THREADS SAID THIS IS A REALLY NICE BEACH AND NOT NEARLY AS CROWDED AS THE OTHERS AND HAS A POOL.

I TOLD MY DH ABOUT THE LIME GREEN SHIRT IDEA AND HE SAID NO WAY!! SO I HAVE A LARGE TURQUOISE DISNEY TSHIRT THAT I WILL PUT ON DD6 OVER HER SWIMSUIT AND I'M GOING TO GO TO TARGET TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY GREEN VISORS LEFT FOR ME AND HER TO WEAR.

ONLY 14 DAYS LEFT TILL PARTY FUN TIME!!! IF ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE COOLER ISSUE AT CHECK-IN PLEASE POST IT. I ALREADY BOUGHT THE COLLAPSIBLE ROLLING COOLER OVER THE INTERNET AND WILL BE BUMMED IF I CANT USE IT

We must not live far from eachother since we are pretty close to RI ourselfs (norton,ma). Yes we are flying the morning of the trip out of Boston. Are you on Delta? I have been nervouse about flying the day of the cruise since we don't have a huge window if we are delayed, but we are staying at a hotel in Revere the night before so we don't have to deal with any tunnel issues the day of the flight. It does look like the traffic has improved slightly since they opened a part of the tunnel last week. Good luck with your travels!

Well... Packed the royal princesses clothes today... we have 5 disney princess costumes she packed. Everytime I told her she could have two she would look at me we those big blue eyes and say mom I just gotta have them and I melted.. Oh well I guess they are all coming.
For all the other princess moms out there... are you bringing all the frufru stuff? I am so not frufru and I got a daughter who is such a frufru queen.

By the way.. my boys could care less if I packed any clothes for them

I'm not that organized. Heck, I don't even have my docs yet.

I know I'll be wearing shorts/Tshirts and such until we leave, so I'll pack a few days prior. I can pack formal wear stuff now, but it would get wrinkled.

I've started packing toiletries, etc., but it's so hard to start packing when you are wearing the same clothing that you have to take with you. It's so much easier to pack for a vacation that you need different season clothes for. We need to wear our shorts, etc. up until we go, so I can't really pack until a few days before.

My travel agent emailed me back and said that DCL hadn't made any changes in security measures. But, that is subject to change. I am leaving on 8/20 for our stay at AKL. After that I won't have any computer access. On 8/18 to see if any changes have been made up to that date. As with anything else in my life, I just will go with the flow. TSA and Homeland Security are instituting these measures for our safety, so who am I to argue. Will it make my life a little more difficult? Certainly. But the light at the end of the tunnel is traveling with my family and 3000+ of my new best friends.

I know exactly what you mean. I am packing for Nick and myself. But since Tim and Alex aren't joining us until the 25th, I am leaving their packing to them. So.....in addition to your 11 & 12 year old, you may see my 16 and 45 year old in the same clothes.

Ha! Isn't that the truth! My DS (12), just came back from camp for a week, and his footlocker came back with all the clothes still neatly folded and packed! Boys will be boys! On the bright side, less laundry to do, I guess!

Hey Spoohs! We ARE neighbors! I work in Taunton, so I travel thru Norton everyday. We are flying JetBlue, and yes, I am also concerned about travelling the same day. When we get to the ship, we'll be the blurry-eyed, weary-looking family, as we have to leave at 3:30 am to begin our day. And now, no Dunkin Donuts coffee onboard...how will I survive?
