August 26, 2006 Magic

OK, so we are all packed :cool1: & if we've forgotten anything we'll have to buy it (or its equivalent) in Florida. Our journey starts tomorrow 6am UK time (1am Florida time) & if our journay goes smoothly, should touch down at MCO at 3.25pm :Pinkbounc . Looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday at the mickey pool, altho' I suspect Lauren will be in the pool! We should be fairly easy to spot with our English accents & the youngest is wearing her England soccer strip! Thankyou to all those who have daughters who have exchanged e-mails with my eldest, she can't wait to meet all her new found friends.

I am soon off for the Sheraton at the Philadelphia Airport. We leave Philadelphia tomorrow at 10:35 am arriving at MCO at 1:00 pm-ish.

See you all soon

We aren't leaving until Friday... hubby is working until Wednesday!

We'll be there early on Friday.

I've been obsessively looking at the hurricane tracking and it looks good!

Hey Everyone -
The Website has been updated with three more families. I'll continue to add folks through Tuesday. Then whatever's there is what's there. We leave Wednesday morning.

Issac is so excited - only thrre rings left on his paper chain! And we've started packing up all our stuff.

See you real soon!!

Hi all!! We're also returnees, this will be our 3rd time! Glad to see lots of LIers on this cruise. We are from Suffolk County, back for our 3rd Magic cruise. Was reading Tor's posts, we were also on the cruise that wouldn't end in Aug 2004, and it was unbelievable!! 3 extra days was a great bonus, so what if the kids missed the first day of school LOL :woohoo:
Cruising with Dh/ ds15/dd11/ds9. Hopefully older guy will meet up with other teens as this will be the first time with no kids club for him.
Can't wait until Saturday. :cheer2:

Nice to meet you. We will be meeting at the Drink Station by the Mickey Pool at 3pm. Hope to see you there.

does anyone have any idea how long it takes a tropical depression off of the Cape Verde Islands to potentially reach the Western Carribean or the Bahamas? Potential that tropical storm (to be named Dennis) is brewing. Not sure if I SHould be concerned or is it too far away????

Looking at the National Hurricane center, we really shouldn't be that concerned.

From my quick looking even at the 5 day outlook (goes until Sunday) it looks about 400 miles from the Bahamas.

Looks like it is headed NW- into the Atlantic. Phew! Now I need to start packing....I haven't had a chance until tonight.

Go away Debby!!!!!!

I'm finishing up packing! pixiedust: for everyone!

Yes, its a slow moving storm.. I wasn't really concerned because of the MPH of the wind (40) and the speed of the storm (very slow). It was looking more in the opposite direction of where the ship was steering anyway.

Three more days :cool1: Three more days :woohoo: Three more days :yay:

Maybe we will get some extra days on the cruise again like the last time we took this sailing or a double dip at castaway cay like the first time we sailed on the Magic. I wrote about it in my first posts on this thread (post #11). Anyway we are headed for the airport now see you on the ship. Safe trip to the ship all

Anyone still here? We leave tomorrow morning!

We don't have to worry about Debby anymore, but now they are talking about a tropical wave forming in the Caribbean! Just let us sail and who cares where we go!
