I agree with you and Pudo on the cabanas! We are doing bike rentals, float rentals and I have parasailing booked right now...not sure I will keep it. I plan to snag a hammock for two on Serenity Bay and spend some time listening to music, reading and relaxing. I don't know how I can justify the cost for so few hours.

Starting to consider the Panama Canal cruise....I could use that $500!

Yes. Around 3, location yet to be determined. I also proposed a group photo on the atrium staircase, Pirate night around 7:30 usually is a good time. Shutters charges around $75 for a "sitting" fee..

oh good I was wondering this myself. I had asked a while back about a meet but I couldn't find it way back to see if anyone responded. The picture sounds like a great idea. Last 2 cruises I went on we didn't do a picture. It would be nice to look back at all the new dis friends we made

After being here a while & reading all the posts, I feel that DH & I are the odd ones out. It seems there may only be a few others who are traveling without kids or grandkids. Are we the only couples only on this thread?

I went to the Disney store 2 weeks ago and noticed they had bathing suits and flip flops etc on sale. I said to myself even though I really didn't have the money I have a feeling i should buy the bathing suits then and get the flips flops and sunglasses in a week. So I got the suits brought them home. Didn't fit brought them back that night thank god and got bigger sizes. Last week I went to get the other summer stuff and everything was gone. They had all their school stuff and long sleeve shirts and stuff out. I couldn't believe it. We asked the lady if she had sunglasses left and to my surprise she had some in the back. She said they took all the summer stuff down the night before and they send everything off to their outlet stores.

That doesn't surprise me. All our mall stores are having fall clothing out front. All bathing suits and summery items are mostly on sale or clearance. Since the Disney Store had an extra 25% off the other week-end, I think that's why alot of the stuff got taken and what didn't can get picked over in the outlets as I would think they would like to sell the new stuff at full price.

Hopefully you can find the flip flops somewhere else or maybe another Disney Store.

This week-end started the count down in the 40's - Wahoo!

My kids go to Camel Beach this week. They are excited.


Ready for the heatwave that will be most of this week, starting today. Nasty thunderstorm last evening. But, that's summer to me. Now it's muggy and the AC's chiller broke in my building! .

My kids go to Camel Beach this week. They are excited.


Ready for the heatwave that will be most of this week, starting today. Nasty thunderstorm last evening. But, that's summer to me. Now it's muggy and the AC's chiller broke in my building! .

DH isn't really into the meets, but will come with me if I want him to. I don't want to come by myself, because that would mean leaving him by himself and it is OUR vacation. He is very shy (so am I till I get to know someone) and felt a little awkward at the meets on our last 2 cruises. Our 1st cruise we had our DS with us (21 at the time) and there were a lot of Cub & Boy Scouts in the group. DS is an Eagle Scout. The scouts exchanged unit patches. I hate to make him uncomfortable on his vacation, but I do hope that I can get him to come to the meet.

Are you in PA? Hope the kids have fun at Camel Beach.

The AC was broken at my work 2 Saturdays ago. In a beauty salon with all the driers and wet hair it gets stuffy and hot really quick. Thank goodness they got it fixed by Monday. Hope you get yours back soon, too.

I do hope DH will come with you to our meet. Everyone on this board seems nice. Everyone of us will have something in common with at least another one of us.

Yes, I am in PA, a Suburban Philly family. Thanks. My DS has been to Camel Beach, but not my DD, so they are both very happy to be going there.

My DH used to be stationed in Ashley, so I know my way up that way pretty well.

Not sure the chiller has been fixed, but at least it's not real hot like it was this morning. Glad you had your work's AC back in order after a few days.

We exchanged council patches with boy and girl scouts at our last exchange too. I have one of each. Actually my daughter is a girl scout and boy scout. She just joined a venture scout. Did the scouts want to trade council patches?
