Oops..Staying at Hyatt and utilizing shuttle service that will allow us to shop and go to restaurants without renting a car.

Maybe we will see you at the pool:confused3

The kids want to go to the Rainforest Cafe at DTD Friday Night:scared1: I hope my Safari Club Card will keep us from waiting all night to eat:thumbsup2

My DSIL also wants to visit the Disney Store at DTD since she has never been to DW.

Great shuttle service will take you anywhere in a 5 mile radius. In the past we have received dinner suggestions. Great for last minute shopping before you get onboard.

We've stated ther ea few times but, I never knew they had a shuttle. We usually fly in late the night before the cruise.

We're staying at SSR for the first time. Any recommendations as far as places to eat or things to do over there?

I wanted to be able to walk over to DTD and not need to rent a car.

One of the great things about SSR is its proximity to DTD. We enjoyed Paradiso 37 last August and we also really like Wolfgang Puck express at the Marketplace. The food is probably the best counter service dining at Disney and you actually get your food brought to your table by a waiter. It is the best deal for anyone on the quick service dining plan. I also hear that House of Blues has a new chef and a new menu. They sometimes have great concerts there too. They probably won't post the acts for a few months. It is expensive but we love the Cirque du Soleil show and some of the people in our group love Disney Quest. And then there's the milkshakes Ghiradelli's.

We are now at the 180 day mark:banana::banana:

That means just 90 days before I can try to get a Palo reservation and register online:thumbsup2

Then 90 days more and we will be cruising:goodvibes

Thank You!!! Ghiradelli's is a must. :) Wolfgang Express sound great, I will look at the menus for all. Thanks for all of the great ideas!!

We have enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD several times. We also like Paradiso 37. We have been there a couple of times.

Have you upgraded your Safari Club card to the new Landry card? If not, you might want to check to see if you can still upgrade for free. :)

thanks so much for the assistance. those are some great ideas! I am just now starting to think about flights etc. and planning the pre-cruise stuff if any.

Funny, I just asked you in a PM two seconds ago what you were doing pre-cruise and you just answered my question! :)

We are staying at WDW for two days prior, but before we decided to do that I had toyed with the idea of flying in just the night before and staying at one of the hotels near the Port like the Courtyard Inn. I know some people like to eat dinner the night before at restaurant in the area called FishLips? because you can sit outside and see the docked ships. That might be something to consider. Or maybe fly in the night before with a stay at the MCO Hyatt and a nice breakfast that morning?

Now that we're 180 days out, we booked dinner at BOMA for dinner the night before the cruise. Haven't decided where to stay that night yet though...

I've booked a few place holder dining reservations. I'm not actually sure we are going to want to have any sit down meals, but I will just cancel them if we change our minds. Dinner at House of Blues on Thursday night, Dinner at The Plaza in Magic Kingdom on Friday night and breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe the morning of the cruise.

Justt saw this morning that Disney has guarantee rooms for our cruise, for both ocean view and veranda at a greatly reduced price over the current rates. The rate category is OGT and VGT. OGT for 2 people $2347 and VGT is $2655. The restructions are that you need to pay in full when you book and you don't get to pick your room - Disney will assign your room sometime before the cruise based on what is available. If anyone has friends of family who wanted to join them on our cruise but couldn't handle the current rates, this might be a time to "jump on board".

Hmmm....to tell my MIL about this or NOT tell my MIL about this? That is the question. :lmao:

Thanks so much! I was hoping for something like that so our former cruise mates could come. I will forward the information with a little pixie dust and cross my fingers!
