August 24th 2012 Cruise to the Bahamas!!!!

Not happy about the itinerary change. We wanted and reserved Palo dinner for the sea day. Now we have Palo on Nassau day and Pirate night - not what we wanted and planned. Also, I wanted to see the Oasis of the Seas while docked in Nassau.

Its almost time!!


This is our first cruise & I am so excited!

I am a little bummed about the itinerary change because I wanted to see the "changing of the guards" at the government building. It only happens 5 times in the month of August and Sunday was one of them.

Oh well, Not going to let that get me down. Less people at port on Monday sounds good to me!!

I am soooooooooooooo glad there is someone who feels my pain! We have spent much time lately talking about how meanie girls (how she refers to herself when she is grumpy) are not allowed on airplanes, Mickey's boat or at Mickey's house. She keeps asking for confirmation ("Really mom? Meanie girls are not allowed? Ok I will not be a meanie girl, I will use my words like a big girl), I hope she works hard to curtail her attitude on the ship...

Glad I'm not alone :-/. I am more scared of the 5 hour plane ride. Scared to death ahhh!

I got the email this morning and also just got an automated call about the itinerary change. So keep an eye out (or ear I guess!) for a call.

Glad to see everyone finally has a room!. Sorry no one got upgraded to concierge

We are doing the Palo Brunch on Sea day. How many others are going?

Maybe we can ask for a few larger tables to sit together if we have a bunch?


What is everyone doing on Nassau Day? The town excursions do not look all that exciting and the Atlantis trips are too expensive.
Is anyone just walking around town? and I see some are going to Senor Frogs
Where exactly is that?

Yeah based on my desires, it's either Senor Frogs or just stay on the ship(which I'm perfectly fine with!)

When you get off the ship and go through the main building with all the wonderful cheap knock off crap, you hang a right and just walk down the street. Senor Frogs is at the end of the street. You'll pass a bunch of tents of more knock off crap if I remember correctly. There will be a map in your navigator the day we go to Nassau and it should be on there.

Also I'll note I am 3/3 with these cruises being either stuck in Nassau due to weather conditions or the crew has won awards and gets the ability to stay late. If we end up staying in port later, I know where the crew parties They check for DCL IDs I think, but they took one look at my WDW ID and let me in all 3 times, along with my entire party.

Senor Frogs is crazy fun though, especially with more people. I openly invite all to join!

Disney Changed our itinerary. Our sea Nassau day is now on Monday and our Sea day is Sunday. That means that our stateroom crawl is now on Monday. Remember to update any shore excursion companies you booked that were not book through the ship.

We are going to Sandals while we are in Nassau. It's a bit pricey but it looks awesome! $110 per person for the day 10 am-5 pm

First time cruisers here! My husband and I will be bringing our 7.5 year old and leaving the baby with the grandparents. 3 days at the parks followed by this cruise for us... HELLOOOOO DISNEY in 6 more days!!!!

Oh, AND this is a surprise for the kiddo! She knows we're going to WDW but not the cruise! AND she doesn't know her uncle and his girlfriend (PPellWis) will be joining us on the cruise either!!! Gonna be a GREAT surprise!!!!

We are doing the dolphin encounter on Nassau. Pricey.. but can't wait to watch my daughter enjoy this!! Oh, and I might be excited to do it too!
