Do you think it would be best to start on deck 2 and move upwards? Also maybe putting a deadline for people to sign up would be good too!! That way we have time to figure out the best way to move around each deck depending on the staterooms :)!

Yeah, starting at the bottom and working our way up should work.

As for a deadline, well, many of you have GTY's and are still unassigned, thus I think we can remain flexible for as long as possible and maybe set the deadline a few days before the cruise (but remain open to last minute changes).

To be very honest, I am not very happy with climbing 8 flights of stairs! Walking down no problem. Maybe you could think about that. :goodvibes

It might be one of those sites that is banned by the DIS.

Oh my goodness that's adorable :)! Your son must be super excited to go on the cruise!!!

Same here, if you booked a guarantee stateroom with restrictions we find out 7-10 days before the cruise, so in a week/week and a half!!

He is super excited, hope our baby girl sits through dinner and shows without too much fussiness.

So sorry I have been out of touch for a couple of days. I feel bad I made a suggestion and then disappeared. Thank you so much for organizing this.

Our cabin is a 5B number 8542 and of course we'd love to join in :)

That's what elevators are for!

Seriously while I understand not wanting to walk up stairs, that's easily remedied with elevators.

Starting at the top and working our way down ends us at the bottom of the ship surrounded by staterooms, whereas if we go bottom up, we can end up on the pool deck and public areas.

I am sure that she will. Our daughter was 7 months when we took our first Disney cruise. The staff were very attentive with her and she enjoyed her time with us in the dining room. On a couple of occasions we dropped her off at the nursery so we could have dinner together.

Here are some pics from our cruise when dd was a baby

A cautionary note about sharing your reservation number and birthdate. I linked our reservation number with my DIL and her sister and parents so we could all be assigned to the same table for dining. When I went online today to add a shore excursion, ALL of their names were on my list and I could have signed them up for any and all excursions!

A certain amount of trust is required when providing your personal information to "strangers." Of course, we don't feel like strangers because we've all been chatting so much and getting to know each other online, but unless you feel really comfortable putting your information out there, be very careful who you give access to. :scared:

If you call DCL they can just link the dining portion of you reservation. I think when you link it online it will link all aspects, stateroom, air, dining and resort

I discussed walking up 8 flights of stairs with my travel partner and he has even less desire to do that than I do.

Waiting for the elevator is a pain.
Please take us off the list.

Karen,

Can I tell you how excited I am to meet you and your brother Tom! I have been reading your TR's since you started posting them. I lived I Europe for 7 years and reading your posts make me miss it so much. :)

the reservations were linked online, there were tick boxes for what we wanted to link and the dining option was the only one we ticked.:thumbsup2

Wow! I didn't realize you read my TRs! I hope we can live up to it! :rotfl2: I am so looking forward to meeting you too! Where in Europe did you live?

You did it perfectly well, as you can just link dining. I did that for our February cruise for a lot of our group and we got to sit together, but the rest was to be done individually.
In 2009 I had Disney (via phone) link dining with our friends and we ended up being linked in EVERY aspect. :rotfl2: Go figure.
