Congrats on becoming a veteran- I made mine last week. Such a sense of accomplishment

I have gotten things for the kids, but nothing for me. I keep hoping I will lose a few more pounds.

Really dumb question- will I get a bill or some sort of notice when the final payment is due? I hate to pay in advance, but I also don;t want to miss the deadline and not be able to cruise!

I had my first cruise nightmare this weekend. really weird. the boat left out of san francisco and i was in LA and had to island hop. the last bridge was out and I watched the ship pull away: IT was HORRIBLE

When I first booked the cruise thru DCL I received a confirmation with a payment notifcation stub on the bottom. It states that my final payment is due June 24th so I still have some time, but I don't know if they also send out reminders or not. I think I am just going to go to the DCL website and make my final payment there.

Hi Mary,

I added you to the list for the door magnets, you aren't too late. In fact I have more blank magnet sheets coming in tomorrow.

You can order the magnets at www.invent-it.com look for Magnet Kit product # 09212-0. In the pack you receive:
One 8 1/2" x 11" full-size magnet sheet
One 8 1/2" x 11" precut magnet sheet with ten rectangular shapes (business-card size)
One 8 1/2" x 11" precut magnet sheet with six 3 1/3" circular shapes (this is the size I used to make the door magnets)

I also made door magnets with the full size sheet for my stateroom and my mom's stateroom. If you would like to see our doors, we will be in staterooms 2554 and 2556. Our doors will stand out for sure.

Just a warning- dd9 just found out there is all you can eat shrimp. She is prepared to eat her weight in shrimp. She loves the stuff.

We are also booked for the Magic on August 23 and I'm so excited. I've been on other cruise lines over ten years ago but this will be the first with Disney. My DH has never cruised and my twins haven't either. I'm a little worried because DS has recently become obsessed with the Titanic. We won't tell them about the cruise until school lets out in three weeks... Should be interesting what the reaction will be.

Welcome Aboard to the DISboards and to the August 23-30, 2003 Cruise. Join in and let us know a little bit about yourselves. Will there be any special celebrations for your family during the cruise? The first will be at the Radisson in Port Canaveral the night before we sail (we have several families staying there), the second will be on the Magic, after the life jacket drill, on deck 9 behind Topsiders. Where in New Jersey are you from? And how old are your kids?
As you can see we have a large number of kids going on this cruise and I'm sure you will see that one of us has a kid the same age as yours!
Do you plan to stop in at the DisMeet? It's just a quick chance to say Hi and put a face to a name, but you never know, your kids might make a friend and have someone to spend the week with

Welcome aboard! How long have you been able to keep it a surprise from your twins? I tried to surprise dds- lasted about 10 minutes I try to give them a little info at a time- keeps up the suspense and gets them and me excited over and over again. dd9 was nervous about going on the cruise, boy in her class did a Titanic book report. As she reads the boards and passporter she is less nervous and more excited. Although, she completely freaked when she saw the life boat drill. I distracted her by telling her about all you can eat shrimp before the drill.

Hi guys!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I feel like I know most of you since I've been reading these threads for a couple weeks. We also plan to fly in on the 22nd and stay at the Radisson the night before. Somehow I feel safer arriving early.

Travelling are: Kathy 42, DH Gabe 47, DD Deanna 8, and
DS Adam 8. We live in Somerset which is Central Jersey and I see there are quite a few of you coming from the NY/NJ area. My husband is from Argentina and actually has been on a cruise as a child, travelling from Buenos Aires to Germany....don't think Disney was around yet...ha ha! I have been on RCCL, NCL, and CC., many years ago when I was still single. I loved cruising!

The rain these past couple of weeks has been unbelievable, and the only thing that has kept my spirits up, has been your posts. Thank you! Kathy
