Just curious, did you do custodial in your last CP and if so how did you like it?

Yep I did Custodial during my last CP in fall of 08 as well and I worked at DAK. I loved it and its not as bad as some people think it is. You are independent when you are on your shifts and you learn a lot of things. Also I lost about 40 pounds that I needed to lose; which is a nice plus also.

Anyone else here coming down before the actual check-in day?

Name: Dylan

Age:19 (turning 20 in 5 days)

Role: custodial also.

Location: Tucson AZ

This is my first time going into the program so I dont really know what to expect but I'm already working 7 hour shifts 6 days a week over here so I'm not really freaking about the work load. I guess I'm looking for a roommate. For all you repeaters whats the living accommodations like? Any roommate horror stories?

Custodial is a great job to get, so congrats on that. As for housing, it's just like regular apt. complexes but the living situation is just like dorms. There's some legit security at the entrances, so only people who live in each complex have 24 hour access. People from other apts. can come and go as they please between 7-1am. Guests ( non CPs ) have to be signed in by you and have to leave at a certain time. It's earlier for minors. For the apts. themselves, you'll pick with complex you like. Vista is lively. Patterson is quiet but new. Chatham is the inbetween. You also pick how many bedrooms you'd like. 1-4. There are always 2 people per room. I had a 2 bedroom in Chatham. My 3 roommies and I got along real nice. One was a little messy and another sort of loud, but nothing unbareable.

Welcome to the boards!

Name: Randy
Age: 21
Role: Attractions
Location: Tampa, FL

Pat (previous poster) and I are trying to find more Tampa people interested in hanging out before the program starts. It'd be nice to know some people (besides just you kind folks on the Dis) before we go down there.

Also...speaking of th Dis, anybody planning on displaying a Lime Green Mickey Head on their costume? Can we get away with that? :rolleyes1

...that didn't happen to be a Deadmau5 reference did it?...cause if it was, we are going to be better room mates than I thought haha.

I'm August 22nd! :goodvibes

My name's Megan, and I'm coming from California! So I could also totally use some info on where to stay the night before check in. I'm the queen of bad luck when it comes to air travel. I DO NOT want to risk being late the day of! :lmao:
