August 22nd 2009 Western Carribbean Anyone?

Erik is doing a scout service project for the Final Four tournament tonight.

I thought it would be a great night to watch Twilight.
Matt asked if could watch it with me. He really enjoyed it.
I saw it at the movies but, had not watched it yet.
I need to watch it again because Matt kept asking me about the background on the characters,
I guess I will have to watch it again.I liked it better this time since I knew it didn't follow the book exactly.

Matt has decided that he is going to read the book. He looked the baseball scene.

Wow, I learn more about this site everyday, I had no idea you can take part of something someone says and respond to it. cool. does anyone know the number of the lady that delievers baskets to the ship. On our last cruise we had her leave baskets for the boys. They loved them. :
Yes our hopes for another Philly championship was crushed by UNC. Nova nation looked horrible. But the world champion Phillies have opening night tomorrow. Sorry, but we haven't had a team to brag about in a while.
Christi am glad to hear Eric will be around.
Ok, well gonna go take care of my patients. Having a decent night. Talk to you tomorrow (today). Marianne

I liked the baseball scene in Twilight as well. Loved that song, too. I'm constantly playing the soundtrack from the movie.

How exciting to have the final four basketball games so close to home.

Sorry to all the Nova fans - that score was a stunner.

Well, Sports Illustrated predicted the Mets will be World Series winners this season. So you know that means they will be in 2nd place behind the Phillies in the NL East this year.

At least we have a brand new stadium to enjoy. ;)

Well, ski season officially ended for us yesterday. :sad2: Hit the slopes for the last time this season. Wow, I am physically exhausted as we skied pretty much every weekend for the past four months.

Now the family is getting excited about this cruise.

We are getting a Winter storm tonight:scared1: 5-8 inches.

It is crazy. We've had 50-60 degrees the last few weeks.

The kids are hoping for a SNOW DAY!
I am undecided. I really don't want to have to go out in it to take them to school.

kylelover - We're on the Main Line, in Devon. We're actually Villanova alum, so last night was particularly bittersweet for us! At least we had fun watching the game at a local bar with lots of other alumni in all our 'Nova gear. In spite of the pathetic excuse for playing the boys did last night, it's been a great season, and I won't complain. There's always next year :)

Hey Everybody,

May we join in! I literally just booked. We sailed in 2006, and I had in my mind to go again in 2010. We got the notice last week about kids sail free, and DH and I talked about it. Although it was more money than we planned to spend on vacation this year, it is certainly less than we would spend next year (at least we hope so, we would like to see the economy improve), so we're in!

I can't remember when I booked the 2006 cruise, but I know I got an early booking discount, and then I remember it being a LOOOOOONGGGG wait until the cruise. I kind of like this booking less than 6 months away, because although I would like time to slow down sometimes, August 22 will be here before you know it.

We are: Denise (Me!), Mark (DH), Jim (DS 10) and Paige (DD 7).

Bye for now! Got to go back to work and pay for this vacation now.:yay:

D.

I was just jumping on to say the same thing!! We are officially booked!!:yay:
We were hoping for a pin #, but this ship is filling up fast!! Don't want to miss out.

We are in for everything~ fe gifts, dis tag, martini flights, brunch at Palo, pirates, tshirts, lanyards, bracelets; pub crawls, (oooh must still have St Patrick's Day on my mind)!! :thumbsup2 Whatever everyone wants to do!

We are Terri :cheer2:, dh Jackpirate:, dd (15 at cruise) Julianne:flower3:, and ds Ryan (11):3dglasses.

Can't wait to catch up, so I can get to know everyone and jump in!

:welcome:
Welcome aboard Denise, Terri & families. Added you to list here Let me know if I have anything wrong, want changing, adding etc.

Terri, I looked yesterday at availability, nothing cheaper than cat 7 was showing, looked again today and there was a cat 10 but only others cat 4-7. Must be selling well. Never been on a cruise where there has been limited availability 5 months out.

Welcome aboard guys!!!
We have a huge group with a lot of kids in your kids age brackets!!( I have ds age 11 and dd will turn 10 on the ship) Its going to be a great week!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks Wayne! When I started looking at this cruise a few weeks ago there was a lot of categories available. By the time I put a hold on our cabin the other day it was only cat 4 & 5. The past couple of mornings I have seen some Cat 10 guarantees and some Cat 6 guarantees, but by lunch time they seem to be gone. Well, the more the merrier!! Now they all need to get on this board!!

Thanks for adding us to the list. We are in cabin # 7038.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

Terri

Welcome Denise and Terri and families!!!!!

The last time we sailed on the Magic was 2006 and I booked that one almost two years in advance. Talk about a long wait.

Let's hope the economy improves for everyone by this summer.

My Wonder cruise last summer sold out - completely full.

I am definitely in for some after dinner club activities.

Thanks for adding us to the list. We are in cabin # 7038.

Added your cabin.:thumbsup2

Anyone any plans for Easter, we are usually at WDW for Easter but dates don't fall well this year Matt is off school this week and next, I can't take this week off.
We have a couple of nights in hotels booked, lots of Geocaching, hopefully find about 30 over the 3 days. Also going here on Monday http://www.ironbridge.org.uk/ 10 museums all close to each other. Then Tuesday here http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/collections/aircraft/cosford-aircraft-collection.cfm

We will be celebrating Easter w/ Erik's family on Sat. and mine on Sunday.

No plans here. The kids are off school starting on APril 9. They go back on the 20th.

MAtt is hoping to go out to my mom's property and camp. But, right now he says it is too cold. It has been snowong the last few days.

Welcome everyone to the board.

This is a link to what we did last Easter break ~ it makes me want to cruise right now (well, just about everything makes me want to cruise right now)! :woohoo:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhIeshCdsbc

If the link doesn't work, you can go to youtube.com and type in Crazy Easter Cruisers. One of the guys we met on the board put it together. Actually, he (Cruisin Rob) went geocatching on all of the islands we went to . He hooked me up with a website. It looks really interesting. I am going to try it with the kids this summer. One of the mountains nearby has geocatching birthday parties!

This year we are visiting the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee for our break. Lots of R&R and I have this insane need to go to Dollywood!!

Thank you! When did you do the Land and Sea in Aug 2007? We did the Land and Sea then too. Were you in the green wristband group? I think we got on the Wonder on the 19th of August.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! We don't have a room # yet, just a GTY.

We're not doing much for spring break (this week for the kids) and Easter, too much going on at work and home. DH and DS did go to the Phillies game tonight. It's pretty cold out, they are probably freezing their rear ends off!

Hi Denise~
I bet they are freezing their behinds off! We went on Opening Day of Citizen's Bank Park a few years back. It was freezing! I had a huge frost rated sleeping bag and everyone around me was making fun of me, until the
2nd inning when they couldn't take the cold anymore and wanted to get under it!:rotfl2: Last year, we went to Opening Day in the freezing cold and what made it worse was we just got back home from a caribbean cruise 12 hours earlier!! :scared1: Our systems were in shock!! I hope the Phillies win for them.
