August 2021 Canceled 🙁

We have had 6 sailings booked with RCCL but we have never sailed on any of their ships. We had a 7-night cruise booked for this summer (August 1,2021). With others talking about cruise planner sales I thought I would check what we have booked today. When I logged on I found a message that our sailing has been canceled

We got the same message this morning on our Sept. Cruise when I went in to cancel our cruise planner bookings. We booked on the Inaugural Odyssey 8 night Southern for July 3rd around 4:00 this morning. So we were going to cancel our cruise planner items for our Sept. cruise and like you we got the same message saying the cruise was already cancelled.

Our July 9 Oasis cruise was cancelled, so we will move it to the same cruise next July. We still have a cruise in January and another one in February we hope to go on.

We got the same message this morning on our Sept. Cruise when I went in to cancel our cruise planner bookings. We booked on the Inaugural Odyssey 8 night Southern for July 3rd around 4:00 this morning. So we were going to cancel our cruise planner items for our Sept. cruise and like you we got the same message saying the cruise was already cancelled.

Hope you got I at a reasonable price. Last I looked jr suites we’re going for over $5k per person.

Yes everything about this particular cruise is extreme. We looked at the price of a Junior Suite and decided we would go with the oversized balcony on this one. What we saw everything was around at least $1000 higher than on the same ship July 31st. Guess it is just because of the Inaugural? We have a Junior Suite for her 14 night Spanish TA next April and it was less than half the price of the Junior Suite for this trip! And everyone of us are getting railroaded on the Cruise Planner items also! We all had them booked at a fraction of what they are asking now on cruises that were cancelled/switched. I said it before and still stand by it they were using us as cash cows on the previous bookings!

Good luck if you want your money back. After almost 3 months I did a credit card charge back. Then got notice from royal Carribean that they processed refund wrong and that was why it took so long. Then they refunded it but shorted me over 500$ which the credit card company had to again charge back. Took hours on the phone to get cruise planner refunds. It was awful. Others got refunds in 3-4 weeks I know but for me it was over 10 hours on the phone, many calls, and took the credit card company to get my money back. This was for a June 2021 cruise

Heads up: Royal's financial department isn't the greatest, but it does work out in the end. Just be ready to call them two or three times for them to finally do it right.
