We are travelling from the UK for the first time with our four children ages 7, 5, 2 and 7 months early August for two weeks.

It's going to cost £1200 for 14 day park passes. My question is do you think it's worth it?

I know the children will struggle in the heat and I don't want to make it a stressful time with four young children upset with long queues etc being August.

Any advice or thoughts?

Are you staying on or off site?
Have you been before?
Early park starts and afternoons by the pool works well.
A 14 day ticket will give you maximum flexibility, you can come and go as you choose, you can go to different parks in one day, or get to the park early, leave during the mid day heat and go back if you wish.Or if you want to give the parks a rest for a few days you can.
Have a look at booking some fast passes for rides so you minimise your waits, and choose indoor rides like Its a Small World as it gets hotter.
It will be very busy and humid but the more you plan the better the experience will be.

Thank you so much for your reply, it's our first visit with four children. We last visited in 2010 when we only had two, it's rather daunting this time.
We are staying off site in a villa but not too far away.

Tickets are expensive but you can get good value out of them over 14 days. You can book fast passes for all the busy rides and if you get to parks early, before opening then you can avoid the worst of the crowds. Make sure you don't go when EMH are on as parks will be packed by the time you get there.
Also the water parks are great fun and the kids area at Blizzard beach is usually ok even in August.
We have always coped well with heat by making sure we stay out of the sun and drink lots. Plenty of indoor space and rides. You just have to be super organised in early August but there are so many tools to help nowadays that it's not too difficult.

We are also going in aug, from UK for 2 weeks. Definitely agree that the tickets are worth it. You can come and go as you please then.

If you just want a few disney days look at Magic your way tickets. You can buy in advance from undercover tourist. You can just buy for the main parks no water parks and no park hopping.

If you want more than a few days the uk 14 day tickets are thebest value and have water parks and hopping. In the heat a few hours every day may be better than a few long days.

Your 2 youngest are free.

You are staying in a villa . good choice ..... I take it that there is a pool .

Are you going to hire a car ? If No think again .... and look into cost ...

You will have less hassle coping with the children .... & you can eat at the Villa or at other places outside of Disney.

Here is an idea .. Just buy tickets for a few days at Disney .

Then you can do free stuff like boat trips at Disney Springs & The Boardwalk. to still get the Disney Magic .

There is a trip to Fort Christmas , which is ideal for your children , It has a good playground .

You can follow that with an Airboat ride at Air Boat Rides at Midway both on Hwy 50 heading towards Titisville

You can do lots of things outside of Disney that will give you & your children great memories

I think with Children in summer the best option while not the cheapest is the 14 day Ultimates.

Tired hot children won't be happy and then you won't be either. The 14 day gives you flexibility to come and go as you please.

With FP+ you can get 3 rides with no or little wait for each day which makes it easier too with more days.

We love aug, kids didn't seem to even notice the heat.i think the theme park tickets are soo worth it

If they struggle with the heat you could go to waterpark for morning then back to villa for a rest then hit the parks later when it may cool down a bit
