We are at 56 days till departure here! ADR's are done, FP+ were done Sunday night at 11pm(we are central time), and it was also very anti-climatic. I had my 14 year old stay up with me(they are out of school here already, so, she had no school Monday). We got everything we wanted at the times we wanted that worked around our ADR's.

Now what? We are working on clothing selection and have gotten our shoes, I scored a great pair of Merrils for under $50 at TJMaxx last weekend. Guess I can start breaking them in.

We are staying at the Poly, and have already done online check in for that too.

Can't wait!

I wish my DBF would do a trip with me! He is the anti-Disney. lol It's fine, cause now that we have the girls, he is no longer obligated to indulge me when we go to Orlando.

I have stayed at POP before and it absolutely serves its purpose. I think the girls now being a little older, will absolutely love it. I added the 3 nights at WL because I wanted to try a deluxe and since we spend the last few days always at MK, it just made sense.

Hi all!! Our dates are 8/14-8/22. Our first time going in the summer so we are a little nervous about crowds . Hopefully things will go smoothly.

I made my FP+ last night and I was surprised to see plenty of availability for A&E and 7DMT but nothing for MSEP or FOF. Are they holding these back for some reason?

Don't worry about the crowds. They're relatively easy to deal with in August, especially since your so close to the time southerners and college kids start going back to school. You picked a good week to go! I think the longest I've waited in the middle of July was 45-60 minutes for Soarin'.

I'm no expert on this by any means, but I don't think they're holding back MSEP/FOF- I just think there's only a limited amount for them in the first place because there's only one showing a day, whereas A&E and 7DMT are ongoing every day.

This will be a total grab & go. We got a nice discount on POFQ. The down side is DD has to swipe us in each day, so we can't use FP+ or get the meal plan. I can make dining reservations, but that's about it. I'll probably book the Fantasmic VIP package one of the days. We missed it on the last trip and DD has never let me forget it.

We will be there for DW's birthday. Any suggestions for birthday surprises?

EDIT: I just read that DD can request FP+ for her guest passes.

I'm thinking they are not released, when you look at the site that shows FP+ availablity in July, but not my trip in August, which should be a slower time since its the last 2 weeks.

I made 15 days of fp at midnight. Phew! It took me awhile and I finally went to bed at 2am. Now I'm going to tweak, change and second guess my choices and times.

I might do online checkin, but I can't decide a room request at the BC.

Is anyone doing a countdown calendar for their kids? My friend who is going in June made this big countdown where the remove a Mickey head each day and it reveals a Disney world ride or attraction. I know I sound lazy but after all the work I put into planning this trip, I just want to do something easy. And all the stuff on Pinterest seems too intense for someone not crafty like me.
