What are people paying for August 2015 flights (Direct). We are looking to go for 3 weeks next August, Is anybody getting flights for less than £1000 pp?

I saw flights for about 1k per person direct with Thomas Cook. I have paid £1,500 per adult with Virgin, Premium Economy, miles plus money fare. I think code k but would have to check that to be sure. That's flying out on August 1st for 18 days. August 1st is a Saturday.

I've seen M&M for £1,200pp in economy - it's outrageous really. We can only go if flights are half that amount.

I suspect we will be going in Sept or Oct next year again.

Im looking for 17th July to return on the 9th August and I haven't seen anything remotely reasonably prices and I'm looking at in direct too. I remember booking in October the past couple of years so hopefully the prices will come down soon. Fingers crossed.

£717 for indirect with BA for those dates but the layovers are horrible. 18 hours at New York outbound and 20 hours at Chicago outbound. Good price though.

I'm sure I have this wrong, but I just put your dates in and have got direct flights for C$855 which is approx £470!
It's with eDreamers flying from Stansted to MCO 17th July - 9th Aug with Thomas Cook
Don't know why it is quote in C$ and all the other flights are C$1500+ but might be worth a look? x

Update - just booked flights for next August (11 - 30th ) VA , miles plus money, 2 adults and 2 children, economy, average price pp was £915. The initial price on the search went up £100 in just the short time we took to decide to book.

Based on our experience last year we feel unlikely to do any better than this. Is anybody having any better luck?

Oh the best bit! - 4 day Disney Dream booked for the 17th August sailing!

July is usually a bit cheaper than August but if that's reals its a steal

I have found over the years , that its early yet for decent prices for July/Aug plenty of time to get some. Last week thurs there was flights from Dublin going via london and with stop in Chicago for July 23rd to 25 th for 16 days for £370 which was a great deal for anyone got them, they where not available for long as limited, told few friends, and i have did the route without any probs., secret keep looking and often

Seriously?! Those layovers sound awesome - enough time to explore each city!

Thomas Cook have got some good deals out of Manchester. We're flying out of Manchester using VA miles and returning on Thomas Cook. The restrictions on one way flights from the USA with Thomas Cook have been lifted so some good prices are available. We've got a great price in TC premium cabin.

Don't you have to remain airside?

Nope. In fact, on the outbound flight, you MUST go landside.

Outbound: you clear immigration, get your bags, clear customs. You then have to start the whole airport process "again" by going to your next flight - you may need to change terminal to do this. You recheck your bags, then go through all the same security checks that you go through in any airport, and then go to your gate. If you have a long connection time, you can do whatever you wish before re-entering the airport.

Return: Again, you can just walk out of the airport. As far as the airport are concerned, you have arrived on a domestic flight so you have already cleared immigration and customs. You check your bags all the way through to the UK, so at the end of your first flight, you don't need to collect them and recheck them. You may need to change terminal to catch your next flight. When it's time for your next flight, you just go back into the airport, go through the same usual security checks, and then go to your gate. The only thing to remember here is that you don't get your bags back - so make sure you have everything you will need in your hand luggage.

We have had flights with long (i.e. overnight or beyond) connections before. No problems at all.

We opted for a longer layover last October.

Flew from MCO to Chicago early morning and left on the evening flight.

Got subway into Chicago, did an open top bus tour and had a deep dish pizza. Great end to our hols :)

Those are the dates we are looking to fly, so at least I know the sort of price we are looking at now.

Congrats on booking the Dream, we are considering a short cruise as part of our trip next year but will depend which dates DH joins us (just DS and I going for the longer period as DH doesn't get enough holiday time).

Great news, hope you get the flights. We picked the 17th for the cruise to break up the park days, please say hi if you book this one, I have just opened the cruise thread for this date on the cruise board.

Just to say. I just added flights to our August 2015 holiday now they are released on the WDW website. Had I booked these I would have saved over 3.5k on what I have paid for flights. Actually the whole package would have been 4k less. Now they are economy indirect flights with US airlines not PE with Virgin but still. It's actually the price of another Disney holiday on the cheap. We intended to splurge this summer but I am letting people know who are still flight hunting for this period. The layovers were only a few hours in New York. I almost regret not doing it.

I'm confused, I thought you had already booked flights for 2015? Separately?
