Does anyone have the $30 visa code for alamo?
I keep getting an error message when I use the one posted a few pages back in this thread.
Thanks.
I am officially 1 week from vacation...did my daily rate check and Alamo was sky HIGH (in my opinion). A standard, which is what I rented for 13 days at $240, is now quoted at $681![]()
This is by logging into Alamo Insiders and inputting a Visa code for $30 off.
The lowest quote was $582.49 for a Premium. I am now VERY HAPPY with my quote...and do not see it going any lower than what I already have.
So FYI for all you still in search of the best deal : I received the best quote 3 weeks from when I needed it. This is with Alamo, and was the same trend from last year.

You can find the latest visa coupon and rate codes on the Visa site. What error message are you getting? Just a FYI, if you use the Visa coupon or rate code you do have to pay for the rental with a Visa. http://usa.visa.com/personal/discou...tegoryName=CarRental&categoryId=15&pageId=197

Receive $30 off you next 5 day or longer rental with Alamo when you pay with your Visa Card. Use Alamo coupon code AD2338FDF. Valid for rentals through December 31, 2013.
For the $30 off Visa code do you need to print anything out or just an e-coupon?
I'm renting 15 days from Tampa (Aug. 18 - Sept 1st) and the rates are high (~$500). I'm booked in with National (midsize Emerald Aisle) and the KLM code for $450. Less than 3 weeks out...

This reminds me...I got a mailer from mastercard yesterday talking about their great deal iwth Alamo, but I can't access the stupid deal. We have a card with BMO (Canada) and the BMO site doesn't have anything I can find, other than saying it has this great deal! Anyone have any hints for me for finding the link or the code? My dh already thinks I'm fabulous for getting the car for under $300 for two weeks, but if I can get something better he'd be even more impressed with me. ;-)
I am renting out of Tampa too. Check Thrifty with the code 5c11m. Also try carrentalsavers . com. I just ran your rates and Im getting much better rates for your dates.
My rates for Tampa dropped today 8/15 to 8/24 for Alamo (with southwest id and 30 visa code). Im now at 274 for a full size. My Thrifty is still 248.
HTH!
Been a dull couple of days for our SUV rental.
Dollar has remained unchanged at $302. Thrifty is exactly the same price, down from $357. Both with the SUV special, code #5CO6M.
Budget is down $1 to $317 using the entertainment book code and coupon. Enterprise is up $24 to $359, also with the entertainment book discount.
Alamo is down from $342 to a midsize to $324 for standard (midsize SUV's are no longer listed at all) using the Insiders code plus the $30 visa coupon.
Still no where close to matching my $245 midsize SUV rental with National using the KLM Flying Blue discount + a $30 coupon from the entertainment book.
This coming Friday is my 3-week point.![]()
Great thread. Does anyone have any codes for Enterprise to get the free double upgrade and/or any other additional savings? Id be renting through our local Enterprise, not an airport {not sure if that matters or not, but figured Id throw it in there anyway.}
Thanks for updating, Gina. As you know, I'm watching you!(cue the scary music)

We have a crazy good deal for a minivan for Tampa 8/17 to 8/29. A fellow DIS person got me the same rate for last August and a I re-booked it right away a year ago for this trip. Of course, it isn't available anymore.
We are picking up a minivan at St. Pete airport on 8/17 and dropping off at Tampa on 8/29 with Enterprise. The rate is $181.50 for almost two weeks. My husband takes a cab to St. Pete from Tampa while we take our time and get the luggage. Even with the $40 cab rental, it's still a great deal for almost a two week rental.
