So finally picked the dates for next years trip. Going to go August 25 - September 4, 2013. Seems like SUCH a long way off but at least I have something to look forward to! Still havent decided on a resort yet, hoping some good deals come up, if not, we're still going! LOL Seems like this will be a decent time of year crowd wise and my kids will only miss the first 3 days of school. What is the weather like that time of year?

Driving down this time, not sure if I'm looking forward to the 20+hour drive but it will all be worth it! I'm officially addicted to Disney World now lol.

We went in August of 2010. We had myself and my wife along with DS10, DS4, and DS2. It was like an oven everyday. Made pools an awesome break! Humidity was okay, we are from New Jersey, so we are used to hot and humid. However we went in the third and fourth weeks of august and the crowds were light. This allowed for us to get on rides with little wait. Take advantage of the pools in the middle of the day. We would follow this schedule everyday, with no exceptions (except Animal Kingdom)

Wake up early get in park

By noon we would begin to exit or head to an ADR or quick service (in park or at resort) for lunch.

Travel back to resort

swim, nap, shower, relax at resort until at least 5 or 6PM

Eat dinner at a quick service(park or resort) or ADR

back to a park for EMH or just until it closed

This worked very well for us and we got on everything we wanted.

A few tips for the weather.

Bring tylenol or advil with you at all times (heat related headaches)
Wear a hat
Bring those fans with the water bottle sprayer attached
Pay attention to anyone who is getting cranky and leave or take a break if needed.

Other than that we loved our time there in August and we are actually debating going April 2013 or August 2013...leaning towards August:)

We're right on lake Erie so humidity is no stranger here either lol. Thanks for the tips for dealing with the heat, around here we average about 80F with about 55% humidity. The times it has been in the high 80's we get warnings to stay in so 90's will be interesting :faint: lol
