OK, here is more "scoop". I got a prior guest PIN which helped make GF possible (which I later find out may have something to do with construction and beach closure on one side of the resort, but I refuse to let that bother me). It was much cheaper than Poly or CR. I did request "non-construction view, non-dormer room", so I'm sure it will be great, great, great.

We are park hopping quite a bit, and have the following ADRS, beginning Sunday night: Marrakesh (everybody's repeat request from last visit, funny, huh, many people don't like it, but my family loves it), Boma (another repeat request for all), Cal Grill (1st time, DD18's "graduation present request". She thinks this is her SPECIAL treat for graduating ;) ), Raglan Road, 50's PTC (1st time, unsure), O'Hana dinner (1st time; got at 8:20 seating 50 days out :woohoo:), and Le Cellier lunch (got 2:15 lunch seating 50 days out also).

So, based on the above, my daughters are going "Mom, we SURE are going to spend a lot of time on the monorail this year, going back and forth to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, the Polynesian for Ohana, and the CR for California Grill." And I am like, DYING, inside, with the whole "monorail alot" thing.:rotfl2:

The "Big Reveal" is still undecided. DH says wait til we drive up (we are driving from Virginia and staying overnight in Orange City FL, so we will be at WDW early Sunday morning), and go to POR and tell the girls there is a "problem" with our reservation there and that we're going to GF. There are problems with this approach though. More on the problems later if you want. Back to work. :upsidedow

QOTD: WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE ATTRACTION IN EACH PARK??
!

Mine are:

MK - Prince Charming Carrousel
EP - Reflections of China
HS - Backlot Tour
AK - Rafiki's Planet Watch

I only gave consideration to things I've actually done. There are a few, such as Stitch's Great Escape and Flights of Wonder, that would likely have made this list, but I've never had enough interest/desire to experience them. Thus, I didn't think it was fair to label them as "least favorite."

QOTD: WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE ATTRACTION IN EACH PARK??

Mine would be:

MK - Stitch's Great Escape - just don't get it, I mean I get it, but I don't
Epcot - Mission Space - Don't like how enclosed it is plus it always make me feel sick afterwards.
DHS - ToT - I don't like free fall type attractions
AK - ITTBAB - having those creepy crawlers crawling all over you is not a joy for me, even though it isn't real, I just don't like bugs to begin with :scared1:.

QOTD: WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE ATTRACTION IN EACH PARK??

For me:

Enjoy!!
MK- Stitch
EP- That ellen ride or honey I shrunk...
DHS- Back lot tour(once you did it, its just a long hot queue with the same old "ride" but a did serve as a place for my kids to nap, lol.)
AK- Rafiki- Huge waste of space IMO

QOTD: WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE ATTRACTION IN EACH PARK??

MK: Stitch's Great Escape - I LOVE Stitch but not this :confused3
EP: Mission Space - Can't even bring myself to ride because I've seen pictures and feel claustrophobic just looking at it
DHS: Star Tours - It's ok but I needed something to be least favorite!
AK: Dinosaur - Just seemed too jerky & loud from both the ride & the screaming kids

I've been kind of blah about our trip lately. I still really want to go but I'm having doubts about how much we will enjoy it due to the heat and crowd levels. However that didn't stop me from dancing around like a crazy person when my park tickets arrived in the mail yesterday. :cool1::banana:

My mickey tie dyes are sitting waiting to be rinsed in the morning! I hope they come out! We also tried a few reversed mickeys with bleach in a spray bottle and they came out AWESOME! So excited. Will post when they all complete.

I went in August last year and it was very hot. Just make sure you drink enough water (VERY important!) and try to bring one of those portable fans. And go in the stores, restaurants, etc. for the A/C.

As for crowds, it can get crowded in August. Some days weren't as bad as others, but it wasn't too awful.

QOTD: What is your least favorite attraction in each park?

MK - Swiss Family Treehouse (I walk enough in the parks, I like sit down attractions, thank you very much)

EP - Reflections of China (not a fan of 360 vision stuff)

HS - Sounds dangerous (just a bit too boring for my taste)

AK - Dinosaur (my back has enough problems on it's own, don't need extra help in that category )

Hoping my opinions don't offend anyone. I love some good thrill rides, but I also like some cute fun themed rides but some just either hurt or don't hit the mark for me.

Can I share what we made yesterday?

I love the way they came out! You did a really good job!

I haven't seen a QUSTION OF THE DAY yet. If I may be so bold, What suprises are you planning for your upcoming trip?

I am planning on ordering a couple of matching t-shirts for our family. And we will be celebrating my daughters 10th birthday while we are there so I have ordered a cake for when we, my mom and dad, and my sister, brother-in-law and niece all have dinner at Maya Grill. Can't wait, it will be exciting.

Let's see what other ideas you all have planned as suprises for your families. :thumbsup2

The entire trip! :rotfl:

DS doesnt know about it, he thinks the questions I've been asking him are about NEXT years August trip with DD. My sister is going to drive us to the airport and since we have a 7:45pm flight we're going to say we're going out to dinner and as we get towards the exit for the airport we're going to tell him. I have a cute surprise letter already printed up using some of the things from someones Creative DISigns posts. We get in 10:45pm to MCO so we'll be able to just get to bed and get up for a full day at Epcot (his favorite park), I have an ADR at Garden Grill (he LOVES Chip N' Dale) that night and on Wednesday he is signed up for the YES class he was really interested in.

This is the kid who has seen the 'surprise we're going to Disney' commercials and thought it was the coolest thing ever so hopefully he still thinks it's cool when it happens to him :lmao:

Well all of our past trips we have had some sort of mini surprises for our girls whether it would be where we are staying to what restaurants or character meals we will be going to. However, this time around we let my DD11 and DD8 help us plan everything. In fact, they were the ones that wrote down the list of restaurants that we are going to eat at (of course most of them are character meals :rotfl:, but they did do a nice balance of Signature restaurants for DH and I too :goodvibes). We are not keeping anything hidden from them. The only thing that DH and I planned for was our dates, which parks we are doing on which days, and the resorts we are staying at. Everything else was fair game for the girls :goodvibes.

Super cute! We've done the Mickey tie dye and DH's been asking if we're doing it again. Thinking my 17yr old will NOT be thrilled about that!:rotfl2:

Nothing planned. Still debating whether or not to do 1 TS meal. Last time we went, I was able to get Chef Mickey right around the 45 day mark. Guessing it was because some people that cancel or change their trip date also remember to cancel their ADRs.

Surprises planned for this trip:

I secrectly booked the pirate cruise at POR for my DS8 on one of our resort days. We were on the boat to DTD last year (from POR), and we saw the "pirate" ship go by and DS was like "that looks like fun". He loves pirates and they are doing PL for the third year in a row, but he already kows about that.

Is is August yet?:hyper:
