We're going Aug 25th-Sept 1 I haven't decided where we are staying yet. We have always organized a YES program with other families in our area but I was hoping to stay on site and get free dining this year. I have two other families asking about YES and it is cheaper even with the free dining so most likely we'll be off site.
It's our first Aug trip I hope I can handle the heat!!

We will be staying at CSR from August 20th-27th. We're still not too sure about going in August because we have always went in April, but I 'm sure we will love it no matter what. We are just a little worried about the heat.

Made our Aug reservations! Staying at the Poly Aug 19-27. DDs always wanted to stay there cause the monorail goes to the hotel.

First time staying more than 5days. Usually go non-stop in the parks. Thinking this time around to to relax more, since the heat will probably be brutal.

Dh said to me yesterday "Why don't we stay somewhere really nice this time, since it is going to be so hot and humid. Lets find somewhere with a really nice pool"

That was all the OK I needed and I am now booked at Beach Club 2br Villa 8-18-8-25


This is our 1st time staying Deluxe and I am SO EXCITED!!!

We have been in an awful cycle of setting dates then putting it off for the last several months, so I am VERY happy to say that we're actually serious this time. No really, we are!

We are going to be staying in a 2-bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs from August 18-25! It has been 10 years since our last stay, and it's been 10 years TOO LONG!

We moved to Maine from Florida 3 1/2 years ago, so now that I've gotten used to the cooler temps, I figure it's going to be very challenging to deal with the oppressive August heat. At least we all know what to expect - and I'm pretty certain we will decide not to go in August again.

Please add me to the list - it sure looks like we've got a great group!!!

Hi fellow August travellers! I was wondering if anyone had a link to the August park hours. I know they're not on the site yet, but I seem to remember seeing the travel agent hours a bit sooner last year. I'm anxious to plan dining reservations! Thanks for any info.

When I click on the link, I get August 2011 hours. It has last update 8/12/11.

Strange if you are seeing 2012?? Maybe I need to clear the cache on my browser. If it says August 2012, then it's the 2012 hours. Now you have me confused!

So strange. I use Google Chrome and get 2011 hours; but when I use Safari, I get 2012. I think the hours are for August 2012 so we can start planning! YAY!

when i click it says 2012 hours, now the parade for DHS Countdown to Fun! I know this parade changed since last year, is this the new one if it is that would indicate these are the new hours!

They are usually pretty close - I generally use last year's info to start planning, and "tweak" it if needed when the real stuff comes out.

I'm making it a tradition of taking my grandkids when the are 7 for an all-out trip(undecided about CRT, but other than that!) when they are the perfect age to catch the magic and have the trip of a lifetime
Plus, I love the place myself!

So today marks... 200 days until our trip!

That means 20 days until ADR days begin... not yet spoken to DH's family about where they'd like to eat at Disney The August park hours should be available soon too, that will help plan out our days!
