Well then, if you need a cup of sugar...:rotfl:

Sorry I'm a dork

Haha - don't apologize! If we don't need any sugar, then we could at least stand by the white picket fence in the front yard and gossip about the crazy people who "live" four doors down . . .

:rotfl:

Did anyone happen to notice that Pigletto changed the resort subject?? That was smooth! I bow down to you! :lmao: I'm just teasing you!

Normally, my favorite ride is Test Track, but I can't ride that one this time around. It's so funny, my hubby and I were just out to lunch and talked about this same question. My response to him and all of you is I'm looking forward to how I feel in Disney. I'm so happy and carefree when I'm there. I don't worry about anything and I can act as silly as I want. I walk into the resort room and just be......I know that sounds absolutely crazy, but it's so true! Of course my favorite rides are ToT, RnR etc. Again, I just enjoy being there....:woohoo:

If that sounds crazy then I am crazy too. That is exactly how I feel, carefree and overly happy. Just going into the resort thrills me. Lines don't:love::confused: even bother me, I'm in Disney who cares!:love

Our family always does a countdown calendar before our trips. Ours looks similar to yours. We use the Mickey Head paint chips from Home Depot. She wanted to do a 60 or 70 day countdown this time but we are moving in early July so I told her that we will do a 45 day countdown. We will be in our house for 2 days when we start the countdown. That way it doesn't get lost, thrown out or damaged in the move. She okayed that.

That would have been a bit simpler but my 21 year old daughter wanted to cut all of them by hand but the good thing is that we have used it for the last three trips and hopefully many more.

As for the what am I looking forward to most question, I think I am most excited about staying at a new resort and seeing all the new decor at Art of Animation!! I am also super excited about having the deluxe dining plan for our family and doing 9 new restaurants. All of us will be on the adult menu for the first time and the kids are excited about trying all kinds of new and good foods. I can't wait for this trip.

OUr little family has had some crazy not so great things going on this past year and we really need to have some fun family time together. I think that is one other thing that I am really looking forward to for this trip. Together fun in our favorite vacation spot. We will all be on :cloud9:

The deluxe dining plan is a must if you have a family of foodies. That's great trying so many new restaurants. Yum yum!
Also this trip is special because I will be meeting my older brother there and hehasn't been there since we were teenagers when there was only the magic kingdom boy will his head spin!

Yay Steph!!! You are my Disney soulmate! Thank you for understanding exactly how I feel!!!

Oh, thank goodness I'm in a whole different resort or else I would be one of the crazy people being talked about! :lmao:

Just found the thread! We are going aug 19-26 and staying at AOA

Well howdy there! As the others have said....welcome!!!! :yay:

We should all meet at the pool bar - i will be the one with the perfect teeth that doesn't talk much :):rotfl: :rotfl:

Even though I'm at another resort, I could always come and say hi to everyone!!!! :flower3:

Hey There!

Excited to see all the chatter about August trippers! I looked at the list on the first post and almost had a heart attack when my dates were wrong. Then I remembered that I had provided them and it was ok!

Anyhow, the trip has changed and now I am even more excited. We are a party of 11 with people arriving and leaving on different days, so it will be a little crazy!

New plan:

Aug 25th-My family of four moves to CBR for two nights.

FINALLY!!!! I'll have company over at CBR at least for 2 nights!!!! :woohoo: I was beginning to think about moving over to AofA for a while!! Phew!! :dance3:

Just have a quick question that I have had on my mind, is Disney still making people respect the fastpass return?

From everything I've read, yes. It seems that is going to be a permanent rule now. Speculation is that this is in preparation for the introduction of the new XPass system (or whatever they decide to call the NextGen FastPass system).

I would be up for a meet if it fits into our schedule. We aren't doing commando style but we have our schedule mapped out by our ADR's and since our 13yr old is Autistic, he likes to know ahead of time what we are doing. He hates hopping parks- it interfers with his mojo. So, if you meet, let us know when and we will be happy to check our calendar because I would love to meet somemore disfriends. Bring on the Magic!!! :wizard:

I am behind but want to try and keep up with this group
We are not getting DDP this trip, we did last time and decided to try a spilt stay and got YES tickets so no DDP.
We are most excited about Everyone being able to ride BTMRR and Soarin together since yds is big enough.

I love the previously posted Count down calander. I made a link count down, I started at 75 days and on each link I wrote a fun fact about WDW, many front and back. The kids are really enjoying learning something new each day!

Hey fellow August DIsers.... I'm getting pretty excited!!!! Since summer always flies by, it's just a matter of time before we're all sweltering under the WDW heat :)

This is SO true!! Spring trips cant start soon enough becasue I have to wait the whole LONG Winter for them......but Summer trips?! Holey Moley- they just sneak right up on me it seems.:goodvibes

Its funny- we had really oppressively hot humid weather here in usptate NY yesterday and it completely reminded me of our August trip 2 years ago. Totally miserable when its HERE, but completely tolerable (at least for me) when Im in WDW!

Oh and don't you know it :goodvibes...my kid's last day of school is Friday (they are only there for an hour). We have so many things planned for the summer. DH and I are driving my kids down to see their grandparents for a week on Friday night, then of course we became members at our local pool (hoping to get a really nice tan before we go), then DH and I are planning on some fun outings for our family throughout the Summer. Before we know it, it will be August 28th and we will be on a plane heading to our "Happy Place" :woohoo:. The only sad thing is, before we know it, Summer will be gone :sad1:.

I also try really hard not to rush our summer. This will be the third year in a row that we've gone the last week of August though, and I always spend the summer wishing the trip would hurry up and get here.
We get home the day before school starts this time. So not much time to adjust.
My kids don't even finish until the 28th of June this year.

63 loooooonnnngggg days to go. On the plus side I did book my airfare last night and that helped make it REAL. oh and it was $140 cheaper than I budgeted sooo...more spending $$ for Disney

Does anyone have a question of the day???? :rolleyes1

How about....What are your arrival day plans?

We will be arriving at WDW early 08/22/2012 and we will spend a little bit of time exploring the resort, then head to DTD to get ear hats for the four kids. We will spend our evening at Chip and Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at the Fort Wilderness resort. Can you see wicshes from this beach? if so Iwould like to try and see that.

Where did you get the facts from? It is our first trip and the kids will be in this weekend, with a weather forcast of RAIN, so this sounds like a great idea and craft project to keep the boredom away
