Going August 11-17...staying at CSR!! Not excited about the heat and crowds...but it was go either then...or not at all!! I'll take the heat and crowds over none of it!!

Trying to catch up, but haven't had time to read all the threads posted since the last time I logged in! Has anyone heard rumors of free dining? I heard today that it will be offered in March for Aug? I will be so excited!

Getting soooo excited!

I've read about the rumors here, but I guess we'll see soon enough if it's true! I hope it is true, but I hope the dates are a little earlier than rumored. The rumor is Aug. 25 is the start date, and we're checking in on the 20th - but again, we'll see soon enough if it's true! :goodvibes

 We will be there August 21-Sept 2, 2012, staying at French Quarter. ADR's are all done .... now just counting down!

I had to change my dates a little which caused me to have to switch resorts so when the list is updated please change me to

8/19/12-8/26/12 AKL

Thanks!

Got my ADR's all done now can't wait to go!!!

Anyone looking for the free dining offer here is the current one hope the public one come soon!!

We've added a couple of days to our trip, so when you update, can you change us to Aug. 18-27 at CSR. Wish we could have done the free dining, but at least we had a good Pin code.

So I finally decided and booked All-Star Movies. I really wish we had free dining, but at least I have a pin for 10% off the resort. Better than nothing, but my fingers are crossed for something better!!

I just changed everything - and I do mean everything - about our reservations! :scared1:

We were originally booked 8/20-25 at SSR in a 2BR villa - 3 adults/3 children.

As of this morning, we are booked 8/26-31 at BLT in a 1BR villa - 2 adults/2 children. (Our two oldest kids have both opted to take a separate trip with us next year, instead. One will have pre-season volleyball, and the other pre-season football during the dates we've planned to go.)

Of course, now that I have changed the dates and resort, I'm really hoping that A) BLT villas are eligible for Free Dining, and B) they're going to use the same dates for FD they're currently using for the Disney Visa cardholders. :goodvibes

Oh, and we're flying instead of driving now! :rotfl: I've changed all of my ADRs - even changed the restaurants we had previously planned. Pretty much everything has changed except for my reservation number and our names. :rolleyes1

I'm SOOOOOO excited!!!

We now have free dininghttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/goodvibes.gif we were only going to dinner for DS birthday. Now we added all sorts of places. We are opting for alot of 2 credit meals. We would like to try new places and cannot afford without free dining. (maybe just too cheap ) I was surprised to learn just how many places are now 2 credits. It used to be just 2 or 3 now it is like 12 or so. Remember the days when appetizer and tip was also included. That was so long ago. We are trying Artist point, yachtman steakhouse, Naccossee, flying fish and tep endo. How does that list sound? Are any of these bad. We used to only do crystal palace, chef mickey(they used to have 7 characters) and Cindy. Times have changed. If anyone has little ones Crystal palace for bfast is the best. One of the few character meals with good food and fruit. Not many places have fruit.

The dates do not work for us :guilty: But i'm glad some of you are able to take advantage of it. So here's to a magical vacation to all:wizard:

My DH and I went premium last year and had some wonderful food and Yachtsman was our favorite. Even enjoyed it more than California Grill. Sorry, haven't tried the others.

Our first trip we had the DDP and boy those appetizers and the tip included sure was nice. Wish they would let you choose between dessert or an appetizer.

I had heard there might be a free dining offer and it was making me crazy trying to figure out whether to change to that. Disney made my mind for me, we leave to go home on the day the free dining starts. Hope the rest of you enjoy some great food!

I need to do some changes and looking for advice. Hubby lost job this week. We were booked at WL. I would just cancel trip all together but I gave the kids plane tickets for xmas and nothing else. I was looking at staying somewhere else cheaper that I could afford on just my salary. So my thoughts were POR or all stars. Never stayed at POR. Can still get free dining at either. All star would be fast food so no tipping money needed. POR would need tip money. My kids are teens. Would they fit in an all stars (4 adult sized people in one room) I could just consider the plane tickets sunk cost or switch hotels and still get free food?http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/confused24.gif

Well the YES tickets are bought! We are going 11-18 Aug!!!:cool1:. Now where to stay...We wanted WBC but, if a discount comes up for on-site we may do that. I have the essential dining reservations already made. Let the planning begin:surfweb:

I decided to adjust our trip a bit and instead of checking in on 8/28, we are checking in on 8/27 so we will be at the Poly from 8/27-8/31 and then heading on over to BLT for the rest of our stay :goodvibes.

When are you going? Could you look into a YES program for cheaper tickets and stay off site for less?

I finally got through the thread. We are going to wdw for the first time on a family moon going with ds 13. If there were young kids we would just go on a honeymoon by ourselves but we have done many trips by ourselves. We are staying at CSR from August 19-28th (getting married end of june but taking advantage of free dining) :cool1:
